We have a fantastic opportunity for a Security Escort at HMP Bullingdon in Bicester. A category B, the prison has a capacity of 1,114 and is a resettlement prison with a focus on men at the start of their time in custody and as they prepare to transition back to their communities. The prison also holds individuals on remand and those with short sentences.

Your new role
Working as a Security Escort, you will be responsible for escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison for a variety of different projects. Duties will include:
* Full body searches for contractors as they enter and leave the prison.
* Tool checks.
* Patrols.
* Ensuring that health and safety standards are achieved throughout the contract.
* Attention to detail when monitoring work.

This role will require you to work Monday-Friday, 7.30 - 4.30 with an hour's unpaid lunch.
This is an ongoing temporary contract but can lead to a career with HMPPS.

Premium rate: £14.00 (inclusive of holiday)
Weekday Overtime: £17.41 (inclusive of holiday)
Weekend Overtime: £22.92 (inclusive of holiday)
Please note, the clearance process involves BPSS and Enhanced level 1 clearances, which can take between 1-2 months to complete.

What you'll need to succeed
You will not require previous experience as you will receive full training. You will need to be a strong communicator, level-headed and security conscious. You will be able to work well in a team and have excellent interpersonal skills.
You will be required to complete BPSS and will be subject to full prison clearance, enhanced level 1. You must possess a UK driving licence.

As a Prison Security Escort, you will work alongside the prison service, assisting our client who is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings. Duties of a Prison Security Escort Include (but not limited to)

• Checking the identification of the contractors

Your new role

• As a Cybersecurity Subject-Matter Expert (SME), youwill be integral to the delivery of the cyber programme.
• You will work on priorities set by the CybersecurityProgramme and align with relevant Project Managers.
• Your role includes the implementation of CyberSecurity Operations Centres (C-SOC) with two laboratory sites.
• You will assist STFC's cyber team to define, practice,and verify the adequacy of the cyber critical incident response.
• You will also assist STFC's infrastructure team whomanage the BAU activities relevant to ongoing cyber assurance, patching, cyberreadiness, and routine incident response.
• Your contribution of relevant SME knowledge andexperience will ensure successful and secure project outcomes.

What you'll needto succeed

• A relevant information security/information managementbackground.
• Incident management experience and an ability toquickly tailor responses to deal with fast-paced situations.
• Proven people & stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Information Security standards,legislation, and practices, including the GDPR & Data Protection act 2018.
• Experience with a range of IT systems (bothon-premises and cloud-based).
• Knowledge of technical areas, such as antivirus,Networking, vulnerability management, encryption (Microsoft & Linuxenvironments are advantageous).
• Strong problem-solving ability, with flexibility tothink creatively and adapt to and implement constantly evolving systems andservices.
• The role is conditional on having or obtaining UKNational Security Vetting Security Clearance (SC).

How will a day on the job look?

You will be frequently communicating between the Rossi Security Head Office and the client throughout the job. You are the first point of contact for anything security related such as random searches, staff searches, TAG detector procedures, fire drills, and alarm checks. You will also regularly produce reports, provide high quality customer service, apprehend and deter any offenders, and liaise with emergency services.

Full Time, Permanent (42 hours per week

Shift work
- 2 x Days 12 Hrs/2 x Nights 12 Hrs, followed by 4 Days Stand-down, (one of which is a contracted (and rostered) Duty Cover shift.)
Here at Serco, we are currently recruiting Security and Traffic Officer based at RAF Brize Norton. This role is responsible for the effective delivery of the Serco contracted security/reception duties under the instruction of the security shift supervisor as directed by the security manager.

Main responsibilities of the role include:


- Maintain a record of daily duties in a pocketbook which will be maintained daily and may be requested to recall incidents in a Court of Law.
- Control the access and egress of vehicle traffic, military personnel, visitors, contractors and Unit employees at the RAF Brize Norton main gate.
- Control the flow of traffic/pedestrians
- Checking ID cards and vehicle permits to ensure only permitted individuals gain access to the unit.
- Assist in the search of vehicles, visitors and baggage when delegated.
- Provide welcoming service ascertaining the requirements of individual visitors, contractors or deliveries and on the production of the relevant ID
- Respond to and carry out emergency procedures as and when delegated.
- Provide a vehicle escort service to visiting/delivery/collection vehicles for ESA, R&D, Post Room and Air Cargo.
- Checking authority of drivers to access a live airfield area in accordance with directions of the customer.



What you’ll need to do the role:


- UK Driving License for car (essential) no more than 6 points.
- Be able to hold a colour perception category of the required standard to enable the issue of an Airfield Driving Permit.
- Ideally hold a Front-Line SIA License (Not essential)
- Be able to achieve UKSV Security Clearance.
