As a Security Officer at Redfern Probation Office, Manchester, no two days are the same and your actions will directly impact the safety and security of the clients and the building they work in, This building is a probation centre, so frequent interaction with ex offenders & probation staff is common.. you'll be improving the quality of life for all you meet!

What you’ll do:

• Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols, also ensure that the safety and environment for our building users is of our highest priority.
• Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems 
• Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting 
• Log and transfer calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff
• To carry out regular patrols throughout the shift

What you bring:

• Ability to interact with staff, residents, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities 
• Must be over the age of 18
• Standard SIA License is needed
• Excellent communication and awareness skills
• Experience in working in a similar
• Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures
• Due to the nature of the site, The premises are residential units which house ex-offenders in the community- This means that this role is subject to a full DBS clearance.

Your new role

As Legal Secretary within the Personal Injury department you will be working with a pool of secretaries, working together to support fee earners with audio typing and the preparation of documents and correspondence. You will use your excellent interpersonal skills.Along with administrative tasks such as photocopying and scanning documents and being able to use Proclaim case management system.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in securing this position you should have GCSE's or equivalent / typing and audio skills or experience in the legal industry as an audio typist / secretary.Preferably will have used digital dictation and proclaim but not essential as this will be part of the training. You must be skilled at multi-tasking and possess exceptional communication, along with interpersonal abilities, being detail oriented and possess great people skills.

To carry out Parking Enforcement on either scooter, cycle or car in an efficient and courteous manner. Key Contacts/Relationships will be: All On Street Team, Members of the public, Local businesses.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• To act as relief and cover for any other enforcement colleagues during periods of absence.
• To carry out the duties of the post due with regard to the Company's equal opportunities policy

• To authorise vehicles for relocation action in line with contract guidelines

• To understand and follow the Transport Operations Manual guidance at all times when in charge of a vehicle or cycle
• To adhere to the security guidance in relation to vehicles/cycles
• To use and be responsible for the care and general maintenance of any company equipment allocated in order for daily tasks to be carried out
• To report all occurrences of equipment breakdown and irregularities within the enforcement areas
• To undertake the duties of the post in accordance with the Quality Assurance systems and procedures within the service
