Applicants for the role of planning enforcement officer should have planning enforcement experience or have a sound working knowledge of being an enforcement officer in a related role or have equivalent experience in another relevant area involving regulatory compliance.
You will be an integral part of, and be supported by, a small planning team at Falkirk Council. You will be responsible for providing the Council’s statutory planning enforcement service. This will involve carrying out investigations, providing professional advice and guidance to customers, dealing with and resolving breaches of planning control.
You must be a good team player with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, be able to maintain accurate records and be mobile throughout the Council area. A full driving licence is required for this post and the council operates a pool car scheme for site visits. Hybrid home, office and site working is required as part of this role.
You will work 22.2 hours per week on a part time basis.
