Your new role
Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking for a role where you can provide partners, solicitors and consultants a high level of support, by demonstrating excellent secretarial service in the production and processing of legal documents and correspondence.
You will be joining a team that specialises in protecting the assets and wealth of high-net-worth individuals through inheritance and capital gains tax planning, the creation and management of trusts and by the preparation of tax-efficient wills. Previous experience within this area is an asset but not a requirement.

• Previous experience in a Secretarial role or Legal environment (min)
• Exemplary communication skills, verbal and written
• Attention to detail and the ability to carry out general office tasks
• Skilled in diary management
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel

Award winning law firm, based in Chester, are keen to hire a Legal Administrator.
The role will provide direct support the senior fee earner and real estate team. It will involve handling and chasing a variety of documentation and dealing with clients and third parties over the telephone.
You will need strong prioritisation and organisational skills and be keen to use your initiative.
If you are an ambitious individual with previous administration experience working within a law firm, this could be a fantastic opportunity! Experience within Real Estate is preferred but not essential!

What will you be doing as a Legal Administrator?

• Deal effectively with clients and third parties over the telephone, in written correspondence and occasionally face to face, to provide advice and assistance
• Be responsible for chasing various documentation, ID, mortgage offers and searches
• Keep the case management system and any third-party web sites up to date in real time
• Ensure our clients and introducers of business receive the best possible service at times
• Prepare required documentation as required with the conveyancing process
• Prepare the completion packs for the accounts department, to include completion statements and invoices
• Deal with post exchange matters as directed by your team manager
• Be responsible for completions on the day of completion
• Comply with all of company policies and procedures
• Any other administrative duties required

• Must have previous administration experience within a law firm
• Strong administrative skills
• Experience within Real Estate would be preferred but is not essential
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good telephone manner
• Conversant in Microsoft office

• A collaborative team player and an excellent communicator
• Experience of using a case management system would be an advantage

Lecturer in Law (EL596)
Salary: £27,486 – £41,467 (pro rata per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a Lecturer in A Level Law to join our team at our Crewe Campus.

This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and inspiring Lecturer to provide learners with an outstanding learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lecturing on a range of A Level Law courses;
Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials;
Promoting and Safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with College policies; and
Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College.
Key Person Specification Requirements:

Degree in Law (or equivalent);
Teacher trained at Level 6 (PGCE, DTLLS or CertEd) or working towards;
GCSE Grade C (4/5) or above in English and Maths;
Proven experience of teaching A Level Law;
Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements;
Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
Experience of working in further Education;
Up-to-date occupational experience; and
Enhanced DBS Check.
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT/ECT) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme which provides staff with a range of support and training based on previous experience and individual need. The programme will offer a range of support and development opportunities, including inductions related to all College systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor and regular 1-2-1 support from the Quality team. Industry experts who do not currently hold a teaching qualification will be supported to complete a L4 Certificate in Education and Training and will have opportunities to complete a L5 Diploma in Education and Training.
