Our Top 100 client are top of their game in the Insurance Litigation sector. You will be joining the rapidly growing Bristol office of this fantastic firm with an international presence. The highly regarded Construction Professional Indemnity team plays a key role in the office's overall insurance offering.

Your new role
You will be given responsibility and autonomy early on in this exciting role to manage complex high value claims acting for many of the major global insurers and insureds. You will defend claims against a raft of professional advisors including engineers, architects, quantity surveyors, project managers, design/ build contractors and surveyors, while working for a team top ranked by the directories.

With existing relationships with major insurers well established, you will handle and be reporting to insurers on often difficult and complex areas of law.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a recently qualified Litigator who has trained and worked for a leading Commercial Litigation or Insurance Litigation firm.

An excellent underlying litigation skillset is key and experience of handling Construction Insurance or wider Professional Indemnity claims would be a distinct advantage, though applications from litigators keen to move into this sector would also be considered.
You will be solution focused with the ability to play a key role in a large cross-office team.

About the role: City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Security Officer (Nights) to join our team at our Independence Training Facilities at Ashley Down. Our Independence Training Facilities are for students with learning difficulties and disabilities who are attending College study programmes. The Security Officer (Nights) will work 40 hours per week across the following hours: Working Day Working Hours Sunday 22:30 – 06:30 Monday 22:30 – 06:30 Tuesday 22:30 – 06:30 Wednesday 22:30 – 06:30 Thursday 22:30 – 06:30
You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excelling working relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders both internally and externally. You’ll remain awake in case any of the students wake up in the night and will be responsible for ensuring Ashley Down, Independence Training Facility is secure. The successful candidate will monitor and maintain security of college assets and ensure a safe environment for all service users and staff. You will also undertake a range of security, patrolling, first response maintenance and front of house duties. Other duties include: • Patrolling buildings, grounds and car park, reporting on incidents of acts of vandalism, checking validation of students, staff and visitors and monitoring student behaviour • Monitoring of the CCTV system • Be the first point of contact for all students through the hours of 22:30 -06:30 and to alert the sleeping member of staff when required to deal with an incident • Ensure all visitors have left The Ashley Down Centre by 22:30 • Carry out operational day to day tasks as a member of a team or individually • Being in regular contact with the Security Officer (Nights) at the Brislington Centre • Receiving out of hours phone calls and triaging as necessary
