A bit about what you will do...

Our Cluster Safety & Security Manager will perform hotel security duties and follow procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and the property. You will oversee this department for all our hotels in the Gatwick area.

• Safeguard and maintain the security of the hotel premises, car parks, its’ guests, staff and visitors along with all property contained within.
• Manage the day to day running of the security department and support all other hotel departments.
• To remain flexible to cover security department rota changes including holidays, i.e. slotting in to the night shift etc.
• Train all members of the team in the correct systems of work, policies and procedures. To manage and monitor all work carried out.
• Within the constraints of the law and company policy, to stop, search, and detain those committing offences against the company within the complex.
• Sign police charge sheets on behalf of the company and attend court as prosecutor on behalf of the company.

[What the role is]
The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) is the internationally recognised training arm of the CAAS. It is undergoing a transformation of programmes, to meet the evolving needs of adult learners and cater to the next generation of aviation professionals.

[What you will be working on]
Reporting to the Head of School of Aviation Safety and Security, you will oversee the development and review, and the conduct of training programmes (including curriculum) to meet CAAS, local and international trainees’ needs. This includes engaging both local and international partners for needs assessment, and proposing relevant training programmes and infusing interactive learning methods and technology to meet the current and future needs of the industry. You will conduct systematic review and evaluation of programmes and conduct benchmarking exercises to ensure the highest quality of training. You will also have opportunities to organise safety and security seminar, workshops and other events. You will support the continuous development of the teaching talent pool to meet the required training standards and demand. In addition, you will be responsible for the smooth operations, administration, planning and budgeting of the School.

To capture the potential and opportunities of the unmanned systems sector and emerging technology for Singapore, the Unmanned Systems Technology, Engineering and Planning (UTEP) Division assesses, identifies, and forges partnerships with Industry, other Civil Aviation authorities, and research entities to grow new business areas, initiate greenfield research and develop capabilities. The Division also focuses on systems engineering, technology capabilities and resourcing for unmanned systems, such as the integration, implementation, and operational oversight of the maintenance of Counter-UAS systems.

One specific workstream on emerging technology is assessing the feasibility of and driving the adoption of alternative fuels and related technology such as hydrogen and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for the aviation sector. We are hiring an officer to drive the emerging technology workstream on alternative fuels and related technology in UTEP Division. In this role, the officer plans, strategises, coordinates and implements initiatives to drive the adoption of alternative fuels and related technology at the airports in Singapore, including looking into technologies such as hydrogen fuel cell powered airside vehicles and hydrogen-powered aircraft operations. What the role is

What you will be working on

Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Implement and manage learning programs and initiatives to address the organization's skill development and training needs, including coordinating registration, scheduling, logistics
