We have a great opportunity to join the team as an Area Relief Officer, covering sites in Pirbright, Woking and Bracknell.

The role will be to cover a mixture of sites across the area, such as office spaces, warehouses and business sites of well known companies. When on site, you will be apart of the security team conducting patrols, searches and maintaining the customer standard at all times.

The rate of pay is £11.44 per hour. It will be £13.00 depending on site rates.

This is a full-time role. You will be working a 40 hour week. This means you need to be flexible to work Monday to Sunday, as well as covering day and night shifts.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer your duties will include:

- Meet and greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols
- Conducting searches where required
- Patrolling the premises
- Dealing with security incidents

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Area Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.

You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which will include days, nights and weekends.

It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however, it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.

You must drive and have access to your own transport.

Main Duties:

Operations

-You must be confident when dealing with members of the public and able to react to any situation that may arise and support in the escalation or de-escalation of any situation.

-Have a professional manner when dealing with all staff members and visitors to ensure correct access authorisation levels are achieved.

-Can work in a high pace and high-risk environment.

-You must spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.

-You must record, report and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.

-Comply with assignment instructions and workplace risk assessments.

-Ensure site access control policies and procedures are adhered to.

-Be always alert and aware regarding your own Health and Safety and the safety of others.

-Be vigilant always when on site and report and escalate any concerns as appropriate.

-Report immediately any accident or incident inclusive of any near miss occurrences.

- Always ensure that you wear the issued uniform and PPE.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

-Undertake and pass vetting and (including meeting 5 years checkable work history and 5-year Minimum Residency Criteria)

-Valid SIA Licence.

-You will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.

-Be able to work on own initiative.

-Similar Security experience desirable.

-Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs.

-Ability to go above and beyond to support the client.

-Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.

-Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

-All necessary training will be provided.

Job Overview

You are required to provide safety and security to our customer's property, people and/or assets in line with the published Assignment Instructions, delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators. Provide exceptional customer service to both staff and visitors alike, as well as undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development, all whilst upholding both Mitie and our clients reputation.

Main Duties

-Use ASCONE to maintain the security of the site.

-Conduct regular patrols of the site.

Training

What you will be doing

Our Civil Enforcement Officers are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas, providing advice to residents, and members of the public, whist enforcing road traffic orders and issuing parking fines.

You will play a significant role in reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality through the enforcement of parking restrictions.

Your day will be spent, mostly outside, in all weathers, walking up to 10 miles per day, so please consider this before you apply.
