We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team!
About the role:
This position involves supporting students and staff at the University's main campus and off-site buildings, ensuring a safe environment throughout.
The role is very customer focused. You will be expected to perform well when dealing with emergencies, medical first aid response, alarm activations and many other reported incidents.
The basic working week is of 38.5 hours which includes 36.5 hours + 2 hours contracted overtime; these hours will be worked on a rotating shift basis cover 24/7 365 days of the year and attracts 15% shift allowance; at times during staff shortages the post holder will be required to work with other Campus teams and cover different shifts.
The appointment will be made subject to a Basic Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance being obtained.
Campus Services New Starter bonus*. In addition to the great benefits Campus Services’ offers, we can offer you a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six month probation. Please note this bonus is pro rata for part time roles.

About you:
Able to work effectively in a team, as well as taking initiative when working alone
Excellent communication skills; able to work with a diverse community, providing understanding and support
Full car driving license
Computer literate - additional training will be provided
First Aid At Work (FAAW) trained and holder of a Security Industry Authority licence (training provided if needed)
