Reporting to the Director of Security & Risk Management, you will assist in supervising all security acitivities in the Hotel. You shall maintain regulatory and policies compliance to ensure safety of property and human at all times.

Your responsibilities include

• Keeps surveillance vice activities
• maintain peace and order within the hotel premises.
• Conducts investigations and submits reports of incidents affecting guests and employees.
• Patrolling of hotel premises including its perimeter
• Performing of static duties at the hotel lobby and Security Office.
• Assist in the handling of casual labour.
• Provides security coverage for special functions & events.

Pre-requisites:

• Minimum GCE 'O' level with minimum 1 year of hotel experience in similar capacity
• Team player with an eye for details
• Possession of relevant security license

PEOPLE​

• Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing-human resources related actions in accordance with Company rules and policies.​
• To assist the Assistant Manager in matters to scheduling, leave applications and training needs​
• Give lead and support to the team in all HR related or Safety and Security related matters​
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include all hotel staff, Corporate Hotel Management Group and Corporate Risk Management and Legal department.​

FINANCIAL RETURNS​

• Assist with establishing documentation and confidential reporting systems to ensure that appropriate investigation documentation and results are available for current litigation/settlement and future reference.​
• Assist with establishing necessary and pertinent incident reports or information to police and fire agencies involving investigations and to the Corporate Legal department, Claims Management department, insurance agencies and outside attorneys to assist in case evaluation, settlement or defense involving lawsuits against the Company.​
• Assist with controlling labor costs and expenses within the Security department. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans which support the overall objectives of the hotel.​
• Ensure the maintenance of the fire safety systems/equipment in the premise and make purchase as necessary​

GUEST EXPERIENCE​

• Assist with ensuring that all loss and safety incidents involving guests, employees and/or hotel loss and safety exposure are thoroughly investigated.​
• Assist with establishing procedures to prevent/minimize the loss from theft and other safety risk or litigation against the hotel.​
• Assist with maintaining audit reports and records on all loss and safety incidents and implement system or procedure enhancement from information learned during the investigations.​
• Take charge of VVIP escort and events and work with other departments as required.​

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS​

• Perform decoding of el-safe in guest rooms​
• Electromagnetic Lock checks and troubleshooting​
• Attending and make decisions on resolving guest’s issues regards to safety and security​
• Responsible to conduct investigations of significant threats and/or the loss or misappropriation of assets for guest and staff​
• Assigned as RA Leader for the department and maintain Risk Assessment files​
• Provide Safety and Security briefings for events and functions when required​
• To ensure the work safety rules and regulations are adhered to by all contractors, suppliers and visitors into the premises. To liaise with contractors, suppliers and visitors contacts directly when needed​
• Work with Fire Safety Manager with fire safety issues and to be an appointed Site Incident Controller (SIC) during fire evacuation drill twice annually​
• To be proficient in handling firefighting equipment and effectively handle minor fire incidence and at minimum be a certified Site Incident Controller​
• To ensure all cases of irregularities being investigated promptly and thoroughly and sound recommendation made to the management/departments​

What we need from you

• Minimum 3 years’ related experience as Security Supervisor
• Must posses a valid security license as required by local government
• Working experience in the hotel industry will be an added advantage
• Oral and written fluency in English
• Commitment to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays if necessary
• Great communication skills, ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.

Supervisor, Security

You will assist the Residence Manager in overseeing the daily security operations in our Serviced Residence. You will also monitor the performance of the Security Team to enhance the security and surveillance of the building, ensuring that it adheres to the necessary regulations. You will report directly to the Residence Manager.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Assist to review standards according to operating procedures and provide support in preparing operational reports to the Management
• Promote teamwork and quality service within the team and coordination with the other departments
• Account for the security, safety and fire safety of the premise and all personnel and assets within
• Implement and administer security, safety, loss control, key control, fire safety procedures
• Evaluate and make recommendations to enhance security and fire safety procedures in the various departments
• Investigate and prepare incident reports on any occurrence or event associated with fire, damage, threats and disruption
• Gather information concerning the security and safety of the Service Residence
• Make recommendations with regards to security, safety, fire safety equipment and CCTV and the installation of such equipment
• Collaborate with the Human Resource Team to educate all employees on security and fire safety procedures
• To take on additional specific engineering duties such as:
• - Perform routine daily inspection for some M&E equipment.
• - Perform preventive maintenance works.
• - Perform checkout and arrival room inspection
• Perform related tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

You have:

• At least 3 years of relevant security related experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity
• Attained at least a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision or an equivalent qualification
• Completed the Fire Safety Management course by Fire Safety Managers’ Association (FSMAS)
• Possess a valid individual Security License issued by the Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD)
• Knowledge in keycard system, Vingcard or Safflock and handling fire protection system
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Supervisory skills
• Passion for coaching and guiding
• Willingness to perform shifts

Job Responsibilities:

• Brief all Security Officers on the daily events in the hotel, current instructions and any other matters
• To check all areas of the hotel to ensure that everything is in order. To take necessary action of any incident that may occur
• To conduct investigation into all incidents and record relevant statements and briefly highlight them in the Incident Book
• To conduct checks of all places as stated in the Guard Tour Monitoring System
• To perform any administrative and operational duties as described in the 3 basic duty posts
