PEOPLE​
- Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing-human resources related actions in accordance with Company rules and policies.​
- To assist the Assistant Manager in matters to scheduling, leave applications and training needs​
- Give lead and support to the team in all HR related or Safety and Security related matters​
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include all hotel staff, Corporate Hotel Management Group and Corporate Risk Management and Legal department.​
- May interact with outside contacts:​
- Guests – to ensure their total satisfaction​
- Regulatory agencies – regarding safety and compliance matters​
- Other contacts as needed (Professional organizations, community groups, local media)​
FINANCIAL RETURNS​
- Assist with establishing documentation and confidential reporting systems to ensure that appropriate investigation documentation and results are available for current litigation/settlement and future reference.​
- Assist with establishing necessary and pertinent incident reports or information to police and fire agencies involving investigations and to the Corporate Legal department, Claims Management department, insurance agencies and outside attorneys to assist in case evaluation, settlement or defense involving lawsuits against the Company.​
- Assist with controlling labor costs and expenses within the Security department. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans which support the overall objectives of the hotel.​
- Ensure the maintenance of the fire safety systems/equipment in the premise and make purchase as necessary​
GUEST EXPERIENCE​
- Assist with ensuring that all loss and safety incidents involving guests, employees and/or hotel loss and safety exposure are thoroughly investigated.​
- Assist with establishing procedures to prevent/minimize the loss from theft and other safety risk or litigation against the hotel.​
- Assist with maintaining audit reports and records on all loss and safety incidents and implement system or procedure enhancement from information learned during the investigations.​
- Take charge of VVIP escort and events and work with other departments as required.​
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS​
- Perform decoding of el-safe in guest rooms​
- Electromagnetic Lock checks and troubleshooting​
- Attending and make decisions on resolving guest’s issues regards to safety and security​
- Responsible to conduct investigations of significant threats and/or the loss or misappropriation of assets for guest and staff​
- Assigned as RA Leader for the department and maintain Risk Assessment files​
- Provide Safety and Security briefings for events and functions when required​
- To ensure the work safety rules and regulations are adhered to by all contractors, suppliers and visitors into the premises. To liaise with contractors, suppliers and visitors contacts directly when needed​
- Work with Fire Safety Manager with fire safety issues and to be an appointed Site Incident Controller (SIC) during fire evacuation drill twice annually​
- To be proficient in handling firefighting equipment and effectively handle minor fire incidence and at minimum be a certified Site Incident Controller​
- To ensure all cases of irregularities being investigated promptly and thoroughly and sound recommendation made to the management/departments​
What we need from you
- Minimum 3 years’ related experience as Security Supervisor
- Must posses a valid security license as required by local government
- Working experience in the hotel industry will be an added advantage
- Oral and written fluency in English
- Commitment to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays if necessary
- Great communication skills, ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
