Tameside Public Health has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Public Health Programme Officer.

About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills. You will have a proven track record of collaborative working with a range of colleagues and partner organisations to reduce health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of the local population. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels, work on complex projects and apply your knowledge and experience to meet the business needs of the organisation.
This post will have a specific focus on the Health Improvement agenda and will support the Public Health Programme Manager in driving forward the emerging Healthy Places work as well as providing advice and support across the broad spectrum of public health. The areas of responsibility may vary over time depending on local priorities and the needs of the Public Health directorate.
You will support the development and delivery of a range of public health strategies, interventions and services for the population in Tameside particularly in relation to key strategies such as the Health & Wellbeing Strategy, Healthy Places Strategic Framework and statutory public health programmes and services.
You will have experience of:
Public health programme development and delivery with strong technical public health skills
Working across organisational boundaries and collaboratively with several parties engaged in the public health agenda.
