Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a local authority, based in the Worcestershire, which is in need of a Legal Assistant to join their Childcare Law team. The role will predominantly deal with preparing court bundles on behalf of the Childcare legal team. If this is of interest to you, then please read on.
ROLE: Legal Assistant - Childcare legal team
LOCATION: Worcestershire, hybrid working (2/3 days in the office a week)
RATE: £13-£13.10ph Umbrella
CONTRACT LENGTH: Rolling 3 month rolling contract
The role of a Legal Assistant:
- Assist Lawyers with functions relating to Childcare law
- Preparing court bundles and general admin
- Liaise with clients of the council and assist with new and ongoing case files
The Person:
- Someone with office and administration experience, ideally at a local authority
- A reliable individual who is willing to work hard as part of a team and is looking to commit to a position
- Ideally someone who has used a case management system (Iken) previously. This is not essential as training will be provided
- Ideally you will have worked in a legal office previously for 6 months and possess a law degree
