A client within the Public Sector based in the Lincolnshire is currently recruiting for an Environmental Team Manager to join their enforcement team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the public sector.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to lead a busy Environmental Enforcement Team as well as mentor and support staff in the delivery of a range of issues including statutory nuisance fly tipping, waste duty of care, stray dogs and abandoned vehicle investigations.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- manage officers with a range of technical and regulatory experience ensuring a customer focussed approach.
- manage a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers delivering across a range of community and environmental issues including environmental protection, environmental crime and other matters affecting the street scene and amenities of our community.
- offer advice and respond to appropriate service requests and use necessary enforcement powers as appropriate and co-ordinate specific projects.
- work as part of a team to deliver operational and enforcement activities as detailed in relevant service plans and Councils outcome framework.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will required have a degree or equivalent work experience in Environmental Health and a sound working knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks as well as a full driving licence is essential.
It will be essential to have an extensive level of knowledge of the below:
- Experience of conducting environmental permit inspections and processing of permit applications is also desirable.
- review and shape service improvements to both policy and operating processes.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £300 - £325 per day Umbrella Ltd.
