- Performs O&M engineering involving maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of equipment and systems to infrastructure facilities, including utility systems, at a military installation utilizing a professional knowledge of civil engineering.
- Determines short and long range requirements for replacement of existing complex and major facility and infrastructure systems, equipment, etc.
- Serves as a consultant on all civil engineering aspects of projects and provides civil engineering support to trades and crafts shops.
- In conjunction with the primary duty of O&M, on a less frequent basis performs work in the construction management, design, and programming/base development functions.
