Endpoint Security Solutions Engineer
Key Role:
Solve technical problems in a fast-paced and Agile environment. Help develop, implement, and maintain customer-focused IT solutions in support of our warfighters. Collaborate to develop innovative solutions to enable secure and reliable operations of enterprise computer systems. Work individually or in a small integrated team to install, update and maintain Endpoint Security Suite and Solution (ESS), formerly Host-based Security System (HBSS), components on the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) server and the managed servers and workstations. Support Windows and Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration. Design, develop, and implement custom solutions specific to the customer’s environment. Ensure project completion and provide guidance and direction to lower-level technicians, specialists, and managers. Develop new concepts and processes and analyze root causes and resolve complex issues using your full knowledge of the industry. Perform systems administration of cyber tools sets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains. Provide support to developmental and operational systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client, server, storage, and network devices. Configure and manage Windows and Linux operating systems, utilizing Puppet, and back-end databases. Write installation, user and functional test procedures, including well designed, testable, efficient code. Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications under Test Driven Development and prepare produce releases of software components.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a systems administrator
Experience with installing, configuring, or maintaining devices, applications, and security tools, such as DoD Endpoint Security Solution (ESS), formerly (HBSS), Firewalls, or backend databases
Experience with automating deployments or configuration management of cybersecurity tools operations
Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience with supporting IT projects and activities, Associate’s degree and 10+ years of experience with supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience with supporting IT projects and activities, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience with supporting IT projects and activities
DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND certification
Additional Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with embedded programming and scripting languages, such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Ruby
Ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with customers
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
Ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Ability to work independently and unsupervised
Ability to manage one’s schedule and be a self-starter
Possession of excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
Completion of ESS Administrator 201 and 301 training
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
