About the Role

To provide specialist level Oracle or SQL database support for Core Corporate applications systems to ensure they operate efficiently through using techniques such as database performance tuning, data integrity check and ensure corporate data is secure from unauthorized access. Ensure that new database requests, legislative changes, application upgrades and patches are efficiently delivered and managed, meeting or exceeding service targets; that they are aligned to customer requirements. To provide technical knowledge and support on existing and future ICT 3rd party packages and projects in accordance with corporate technology standards and IT security policies.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Microsoft or Oracle Certified Professional qualifications are desirable, with training available to suitable candidates
• Experience of Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle Database server
• AIX or Windows operating system knowledge is desirable
• The role may require you to participate in the on call rota.

Role summary:

To transport goods to and from customers' premises, and our central hubs, into the DX delivery network. This role requires the ability to work to deadlines and to manage on-road routes in order to achieve time-sensitive deliveries.



Key responsibilities

-Proven track record of driving vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal requirements

-Understand and be able to comply with driver's hours and WTD legislation

-Understand and be able to carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and to be able to report defects correctly

-Must comply with on-site health and safety requirements

-Have the experience and knowledge to be able to divert cross country to and from the hub as and when signs, traffic or other conditions dictate

Our Support Services team play a pivotal role within the Microlise Group, ensuring a speedy and professional response to issues and incidents, whilst delivering the highest level of customer support. We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Problem Analyst, to support the Support Services team with managing the lifecycle of technical problems within the organisation. You will ensure that the root cause is addressed and rolled out across the estate efficiently and effectively to minimise business impact.

What will you be doing:

Proactively identify and analyse technical problems within the services supported
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to determine the underlying cause of recurring incidents.

Work closely with incident management, change management, and service desk teams to ensure seamless problem resolution

Prepare and present detailed problem reports to senior management and stakeholders.

What are we looking for:

Demonstrable experience in a third line or senior technical customer support position
ITIL foundation and Problem Management Practice knowledge preferred

Vacancy 1 - Food and Textiles Technician

A professional and motivated Food and Textiles Technician to join their highly successful Technology team. The successful candidate will be required to support the teaching of Food and Textiles sessions across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will provide day to day technical support, develop and prepare associated equipment, ingredients, facilities and materials for use by the teacher and students whilst maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment. Previous experience of working in a school and possession of a current Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential as full training will be given.

Vacancy 2 - Design Technology and Art Technician

An innovative, flexible and personable individual to provide quality support to the Technology faculty with a specialism around Design Technology and Art. The role will include the preparation and supervision of specialist equipment for lessons, preparing resources and materials, providing technical support to the teaching staff and pupils, classroom displays, maintaining a safe working environment, cleaning and resource ordering. The role will predominantly be within the Product Design area of the department.

Whilst the posts are offered on 37 hours per week, part-time hours (30 hours per week) would also be considered.

Role summary:

DX Warehouse Operatives are responsible to ensure the safe and efficient unloading and loading of freight from vehicles into, and from the site. They will also support the delivery operation to ensure the correct freight is loaded to complete the delivery routes.

Key responsibilities:

-Represent DX in a professional manner at all times

-Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling and safe working policies, including the correct use of all PPE

-Observe and adhere to all DX procedures and policies at all times

-Handle all freight with care and attention

-Access and egress vehicles using the correct means

-Use the correct equipment and methods for handling and moving all freight

-Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the site
