Role specifics An NVQ at level 4 or higher equivalent in a relevant discipline or 4 years equivalent experience in the waste or neighbourhoods service areas.
The Role
Environmental Services Delivery provides high profile front-line services, such as Street Cleansing; Grounds Maintenance; and Waste and Recycling Collections, to Boltons residents.
As a Technical Officer within Operations and Technical Support, you will be supporting multiple Teams within Environmental Services Delivery and Regulatory Services. You will be maintaining data contained within existing technology and software solutions, as well as supporting the implementation of new solutions which will improve how our services operate.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and analysing complex data, and reporting data on behalf of Bolton Council at a national level.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience working with a variety key stakeholders to successfully develop and implement new digital solutions. Experience of using computerised systems such as GIS; Civica; vehicle telematics; in-cab technology; and other front-line operational software is essential to the role.
You will be required to liaise with a variety of individuals within the Council, as well external partners and contractors. Therefore, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt how you communicate to meet the needs of the target audience.
