**Head of Technical - Chilled Food Manufacturing **
Join Our Team at The Compleat Food Group as our Head of Technical for our site in Crewe, Cheshire, home of the famous Wright's
Pies!
Are you ready to lead and innovate in the dynamic world of chilled food manufacturing? We're seeking an experienced and talented
individual to fill the role of Head of Technical at our Crewe -based facility. As a pivotal member of our site Senior leadership
team, you'll drive excellence in technical operations while fostering a positive and forward-thinking culture.

This is a site based role - working Monday to Friday 8am - 17pm - a degree of flexibility around these hours will be required.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Leading and ensuring technical compliance across the site, ensuring customer requirements, Compleat Food Group standards and
legality.
Driving continuous improvement across site against agreed KPI’s, customer requirements and legislation.
Managing the technical & hygiene function including setting and managing budgets.
Collaboration with SLT, cross functionally and wider business.
Co-ordinating technical activity across the site and SLT and working cross functionally within the site and group.
Representing the site/company at retailer meetings, audits, visits etc.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges, maintaining a proactive and adaptable approach.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving efficiency and excellence throughout the organization.
Champion and ensure best practices in food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and develop team members to enhance skills and strengthen the overall technical capability.
**Requirements:**
Proven track record of technical/quality management in a challenging fast paced environment (ideally chilled/frozen foods) at Head
of Technical level.
Proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively in reactive and flexible situations.
UK retailer experience required, ideally M&S, JS, Morrisons and food service and business to business experience.
Experience of leading retailer and certification audits.
Proven track record of managing a large technical team and developing talent.
Accomplished in driving the groups technical agenda/strategy.
Continuous improvement of site technical standards and technical KPI’s.
Degree qualified (Food background).
HACCP level 3, Food Safety level 3, TACCP/Integrity.
Lead auditor.
Full UK driving licence.
You will have the ability to develop an excellent relationship with site, customer, supply base and internal/external stakeholders
based on integrity, trust, and technical expertise.Thriving in a fast-paced challenging environment and able to multi-task
effectively.
Methodical working comes natural to you to find appropriate solutions where challenges occur.
Ability to drive technical performance at the site in line with business and customer requirements.
Able to work independently and without close direction.
