What you'll do


* as a certified mobile funeral arranger, you'll provide expert guidance and advice to help clients plan the perfect service and support with family visits
* travel to meet clients and build relationships across your community
* support with manual handling of coffins and the deceased


This role would suit people who have


* a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* a passion for delivering great service and building relationships plus would feel comfortable working on their own; both travelling to client meetings, and holding fort within branches where necessary
* excellent communication and admin skills plus strong attention to detail to make sure regulatory policies and processes are always adhered to

As part of your application you'll need to complete an online assessment. It will take you around 20 minutes to complete this test.


If you're successful in your application, we'll perform some background checks as part of our pre-employment screening process. In this role you'll work under FCA regulation - we'll provide you with all the training you need to become a 'certified colleague'.


To make sure you're eligible to advise clients on 'pre-need' funeral plans as a 'certified colleague', we'll perform FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and financial integrity checks. These aim to identify financial sanctions such as CCJs (county court judgements) or bankruptcy. Your credit score will not be checked as part of this process.

As a core member of the team, you will deliver patient-centred care by conducting LHC risk assessments, either virtually or in person, on mobile units. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing specialist nursing advice and support. Referring patients for Low Dose CT scans following IR(ME)R training and accreditation. Reviewing previous imaging before CT referrals. Working autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary team. Engaging in audits and data collection. Educating patients and carers, with a focus on health promotion and offer very brief smoking cessation advice and onward referral to local services. Supporting team members and maintaining high standards of care To undertake and promote practice sensitive to the needs of patients and families from multicultural backgrounds. If required, attain and maintain ARTP accreditation to provide micro-spirometry. To work with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless pathway for patients Communicate with clinicians as necessary. Ensure the safety of members of the public and staff members visiting the community sites. Contribute to the efficient use and utilisation of resources. Act on clinical findings and act as a resource for escalation within the team in a timely manner. Adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct and associated guidelines. Maintain relevant professional registration. Report any accidents/incidents or ill health, failings in premise equipment or personal protective equipment. To take care of their own safety and others who may be affected by their actions or omissions. Maintain appropriate record, adhering to Nursing and Midwifery Council and the TIC Health guidelines on record keeping. Report clinical and non-clinical incidents through the TIC Health reporting system. Co-operate with their managers to maintain safe systems and safe workplaces. Adhere to TIC Health and Departmental Health and Safety policies and use any equipment or personal protective equipment provided to ensure safety.

Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA) is looking for a network blood sciences manager. EPA has Abbott Alinity instruments in each of the laboratories it serves. Within chemistry there is a thriving immunology and toxicology section. Along with University of East Anglia we operate Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Calcium and Bone Metabolism Service a supra-regional bone marker service.

A long established network Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA) is now over 10 years old and is a Hub and Spoke Network encompassing three Acute Trusts formed in 2013: The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital (Hub), the James Paget University Hospital, Great Yarmouth (spoke) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn (spoke). The post holder will be expected to work at all three sites.

EPA is part of a larger network of trusts in Suffolk, East Coast Pathology Network. This is a federated collaboration between EPA, East Suffolk North Essex Foundation Trust and West Suffolk Trust.





The post holder will be part of a management team for EPA consisting of: The Service Operations Manager for EPA, microbiology manager, blood sciences manager and blood transfusion manager.

The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital is a 1100 bed Teaching Hospital with strong links with the Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia and Norwich Research Park and provides many specialist clinical services (renal dialysis, hepatology, cardiac PPCI, oncology and haematology, autologous stem cell transplantation, ITU). It is situated on an attractive green field site a few miles outside the main city of Norwich, which is a vibrant attractive city with a great deal of history, although the countryside is not far away.

Both the James Paget University Hospital, Great Yarmouth and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn are 500 bed hospitals; JPUH is located 30 miles to the east of Norwich close to the coast and QEH is located 42 miles from Norwich in the north west of the county

We are looking for an individual, along with the clinical teams, to keep the process of continual improvements that has been set in place. Removal expenses for the successful candidate has been applied for to be discussed at interview.
