Within LJMU, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology is a creative, innovative, and dynamic team. We are dedicated to creating and communicating knowledge and opportunities to ensure that all of our students can excel within their chosen discipline. We offer courses and carry out research, enterprise, and knowledge transfer across a diverse field, including Computing, Engineering, Maritime Studies, Built Environment, Product Design, and Mathematics.
We are now looking to recruit a talented Senior Technical Officer to support with laboratory teaching and research within the Faculty. As you will work within a team of technicians, you should have the proven ability to work effectively as part of a team including strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
You should be able to evidence previous experience within a Civil Engineering and Built Environment laboratory and demonstrate a good working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Geotechnics, Hydraulics, Materials, Site Surveying, and/or Highways. Evidence of complying with Health and Safety standards, particularly in a laboratory environment, would also be a distinct advantage.
