6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Here at Border to Coast, we are now looking for a HR System Implementation Specialist to deliver the addition of new modules within the HR system, Cezanne, along with making improvements and changes to the current modules. You will apply effective project management along with a hands-on approach to build a system that is fit for future requirements of the organisation.

You will work with the HR team to ensure that the design specifications are reflective of the requirements of the Cezanne system, technically compliant and meet corporate ICT strategic principles. As the first point of contact for any queries relating to the HR system, you will configure, build, and test the agreed changes, liaising with Cezanne to troubleshoot any system queries and roll out the solutions.

Creating, maintaining, and tracking plans, ensuring all project participants are clear on roles, responsibilities, scope and timescales, you will identify and manage project delivery risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring key stakeholders are informed and accountable, and train the HR team on the new aspects of the Cezanne system, creating training guides for use by HR, People Managers and colleagues.

About You

This role would suit someone who has in-depth experience of HR system implementation and technical experience of working with HRIS. You will have experience of working within a multi-functional team environment, with evidence of end-to-end delivery of project milestones. Tenacious and delivery focused, you will have excellent communication and organisational skills as well as a keen eye for detail. You will demonstrate good project delivery skills and be comfortable preparing project test documentation as defined by the project scope.

Experience of working with Cezanne is highly desirable, however by no means essential.

Devise and implement procedures for monitoring data quality. Train clinical and non-clinical staff in the use of the I.T. System. We are seeking a highly skilled Database Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database and data warehouse systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of data and stakeholders at the heart of MIS.

The MIS Systems Development & Reporting team are responsible for the MIS databases, reporting, internal web tools and associated services. The team leads on development and reporting projects, including end-to-end student records, to ensure that data is regulated, protected and presented in a professional manner. The team is dedicated to improving, developing, implementing and maintaining systems and data with the ultimate goal of ensuring students have a positive experience when they choose to study with us.

Interviews for this role will be in January 2024.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement and maintain MIS database systems, performing regular database maintenance tasks such as indexing, defragmentation, data purging and capacity planning.
• Seek to identify and implement opportunities to optimise database performance and the data warehouse, including ETL processes, query and workload performance to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data and integration requirements and ensure databases meet business needs.
• Create and manage database tables, views and stored procedures.
• Lead on the architecture and development of the data warehouse and data processing pipelines.

In order to support our planned growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Director to join our Fire Engineering Department within our Building Safety Business Unit. This role could be based from several of our key locations and can be worked flexibly with a mix of office and home-based working and the option to adjust start/finish times.

Our Fire Engineering teams provide clients with cost-effective and bespoke solutions for the full range of fire safety design in different sectors.

What does the role involve?

You will be working across a variety of projects as part of a wider team based in the UK with the opportunity to collaborate with other Sweco business areas and on international projects. This role will suit somebody with significant design consultancy experience and posessing a recognised fire safety engineering qualification with a recognised track record in delivery of projects from design through to construction and completion.

As part of this role, you will sit within a wider technical excellence team where the focus is on the technical oversight and delivery of projects, albeit candidates with strong business acumen and line management are welcomed.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Developing Fire Safety Strategies during Design and Construction stages.
Preparing technical engineering analysis using relevant guidance documents and methods i.e. prescriptive and performance based.
Carrying out site visits when required.
Attending internal and external meetings.
Preparing fee proposals.
Supporting the team in developing technical knowledge.
Overseeing and managing projects from inception to completion.
Liaising with clients on a daily basis.
Reviewing and authorising work done by others.
To be successful in this role you’ll possess:

Experience working in a similar role with extensive experience in fire safety engineering.
A proven background in fire safety engineering with an excellent understanding of fire engineered solutions
Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to suit difference audiences.
Excellent consultancy, communication and relationship management skills.
Experience of delivering across a multi-site organisation.
A bachelor's or master's degree in Fire Engineering.
Full membership with the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers) and working towards or have achieved chartership status via IFE.
