The ideal candidate will bring:

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer or leading projects of similar scope
• Working knowledge in multiple networking disciplines, including SDN WAN, SDNA, and 5G with the ability to develop solutions in accordance with Federal Government standards.
• Experience in complex network topologies including data, voice, security, virtualization, video, and wireless networks.
• Systems integration and testing experience.
• Experience with data network switching and routing with products from Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto etc.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and implement complex, technical proposals that clearly address customer requirements.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Process new Service Requests from the analysis and definition of customer requirements through acquisition, approvals, service delivery, implementation and fulfillment.

Minimum Qualifications

How you'll succeed

• Understanding Requirements – Track and analyze operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed. Work with clients and internal partners to determine, negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards. Monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.

• People Leadership – Lead and coach a high performing group team of individuals. Direct, motivate, and develop your team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems.

• Relationship Management – Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application program. Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate experience with 10 years of application development experience with some focus on greenfield, custom development.  5-8 years’ leading a team of developers and are a seasoned professional with the ability to coach and help develop other team members. You are a code quality champion with hands-on experience in Software Design and Development using SOLID Design principles.    

• It’s an Asset if:  You have good understanding of .Microsoft Full Stack development, working with both Front and backend of the applications. This would include experience with ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)). Ability to code at a high level in .NET languages (C#) as well as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5/CSS. Experience with MS Azure, and experience/familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) is required. You should have familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC), understanding of Agile methodologies, and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Experience with Team Found Server and or Azure DevOps (ADO) is preferred. Ideally, you understand patterns of designing applications for cloud and have knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team.

• Presentations--Ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.

• Interpersonal Relationships--Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking--Knowledge of tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems.
• Staff and Career Development--Ability to address training and career development needs of individuals, teams or organization.

• Leadership--Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.

• Planning: Tactical, Strategic--Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1 - 2 years) and strategic (3 - 5 years) planning in support of the business plan.

• Application Delivery Process--Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, formal methodologies and disciplines for delivering new or enhanced applications.

• You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field.
