IT are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Application Support Officer, to ensure that the Trust’s SystmOne application and all other relevant applications are supported, maintained and developed to support administrative data collection and clinical care.
The successful applicant will be part of an established team set up to support the various units that make up the Trust’s SystmOne implementation. This post will be responsible for the translation of detailed code/report specifications into complex system changes in the SystmOne product set, in accordance with our established change control process through development and testing.
The successful applicant will have the ability and attention to detail that will allow the development, maintenance, user configuration and support documentation of the Trust’s clinical applications. They will also have the ability to identify and resolve problems that may arise with the SystmOne application.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with excellent communication skills and a desire to deliver fast paced change.

The role will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of assigned units including analysis, development, training and rollout. There will also be a requirement to develop existing SystmOne units. The role will also be responsible for troubleshooting service issues raised through the Trust Servicedesk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with senior SystmOne developers to develop timescales for all scheduled work, including new SystmOne units and the development of existing units.
• Effectively work with the EPR Development team to provide a consistent approach to unit builds.
• Take ownership for the delivery of work assigned
• Develop SystmOne in a structured and methodical manner adhering to best practice and Trust standards.

The purpose of the team and all the support officers is to ensure that SystmOne remains fit for purpose and up to date. The incumbent will be part of a team set up to support the various applications that make up the Trust’s SystmOne implementation. As there are too many applications for any one person to be a subject matter expert in all of them, senior application support officer will be responsible for being the Trusts subject matter expert in a few applications and for ensuring that a junior is appropriately trained to provide backup coverage in the event of short absences.
The scope of support that the team provides (and each officer will be expected to contribute to all activities) includes:
• Development and maintenance of user documentation
• Development and maintenance of configuration and support documentation
• Maintenance of records regarding the release and version status of the SystmOne applications
• Configuration of applications and their data stores to meet the needs of the Trust and the application users
• Providing expert advice and guidance on the opportunities offered the SystmOne application
• Planning and contributing to the setup, testing and deployment of new or updated versions of SystmOne.
• Leading the process of identifying and resolving systemic problems with applications
