The Analytics team is responsible for the development of CoStar's customer-facing Real Estate Analytics products.  We think big, creating innovative data-intensive applications that take the vast amount of data collected by our CoStar Research teams to create a fast, reliable and intuitive analytics platform for our customers.  We are a collaborative group with a mix of big data, API/platform and front-end skills, and we are growing rapidly to help invent the future of Real Estate Analytics. 

We are searching for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team and drive the full-lifecycle development of this critical product.

This position is located in San Diego (UTC Area) and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, testing and deploying scalable, reusable and maintainable applications that handle large amounts of data.

• Taking full ownership of your work, from development and testing, to eventual deployment and support in production.

• Collaborating with other engineers, product owners, designers, and leadership.

• Becoming a trusted team member in matters of technical architecture, design and code.

• Advocating for evolution and improvement - both technical and non-technical - within our teams. Explore new technologies, tools and best practices.

• Gaining a deep understanding of the CoStar business, including the Analytic products.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college  

• A track record of commitment to prior employers 

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.

• Solid understanding and experience with Object Oriented Programming

• Deep knowledge of modern server-side languages and application frameworks (C#, .NET Framework, Web API, Node)

• Knowledge of modern front end (JavaScript, React, etc.) languages and application frameworks

• Expertise with relational database systems such as SQL Server

• Expertise with software development best practices, including standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing and operations.

• Expertise with Source Control, such as Git or TFS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with NoSQL (Redis, Neo4j, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Building customer facing web applications using the latest React, GraphQL and TypeScript frameworks.
• Build micro services and RESTful APIs C# and .NET Core
• Drive and lead software design, developing standards and performing code reviews, that result in robust a code base that is efficient and maintainable.
• Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strength CoStar’s technology platform and develop practices.
• Develop comprehensive application testing procedures to ensure high quality applications for tens of thousands of users.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years experience working with JavaScript/React
• Demonstrated experience in architecting, designing and building large scale distributed, services-oriented systems and web applications in an agile environment
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
• SQL and or MongoDB experience
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

In this vital role you will provide and/or direct process optimization strategies and/or troubleshooting of operational issues in the site utilities operation, including equipment and automation areas. Applies advanced and diverse engineering principles to the design and implementation of major system modifications, experiments, process and/or capital projects. Develops, organizes, analyzes and presents interpretation of results for operational issues or engineering projects of significant scope and complexity. This role is crucial for Amgen’s success and it will be a key individual contributor leader in the Facilities and Engineering organization.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop engineering policies and procedures that impact multiple organizational units.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review work contractors/suppliers on an ongoing basis as well as on a project basis.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices outside of the area of discipline expertise to the broad variety of assignments in related fields.
• Serves as a peer-recognized engineering technology specialist in the area of central utilities' generation, distribution, and automated control systems, with overall responsibility for determining methodologies in that area.
• Application of mature engineering knowledge in planning and conducting projects.
• Operate under a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree in Engineering

Or

Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 years of Engineering support experience

Or

• Knowledge in Automation control systems configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with utility generation equipment.

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in managing and improving CoStar Group’s corporate wireless network. In addition, you will work on the network backbone that spans 6 global data centers and 80+ offices worldwide. You are a self-starter, love the challenge of solving problems, and are invested in building solutions to help the company scale.  You use leading edge hardware, software defined networking and traditional networking to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects.

This position is located in Washington, DC and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

· Be the point person that helps troubleshoot, track, and resolve complex Enterprise network issues.

· Provide network engineering support for the DevOps, DBA, Systems, Security and Service Desk Teams

· Manage and expand coverage of network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Logic Monitor, PRTG, Nagios, etc

· Improves the consistency of the environment using scripting (Python, PowerShell), Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, etc.

· Manage a fleet of offices ensuring their stability and conformity with our standards

· Maintains and enhances our IPAM (IP Address Management) platform

· Learn our Aruba Wi-Fi platform, monitor and make improvements in the US and Europe centers

· Comfortable utilizing SEIM tools such as Qradar, Splunk or Azure Sentinel to query data and help various teams troubleshoot issues.

· Participate in new office designs to help us keep track with company growth, typically 400+ employees

· Implement and support our Palo Alto Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), 40+ locations.

· Work with various networking technologies including but not limited to: o Firewalls –Palo Alto, CheckPoint, AWS Security Groups

o Cisco Nexus switches – 9Ks, 7Ks, 5Ks, 3Ks, FEXs

o Load balancers and traffic managers – F5 BIGIP LTM and GTM, Akamai

o SSL VPN solutions – Palo Alto, Junos Pulse, CheckPoint, Zscaler ZPA

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Technology, MIS or related field)

· A track record of commitment to prior employers

· 5+ years of relevant experience in networking not limited to: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, SNMP, VoIP, Firewalling, Load Balancing, Wireless, ACI, Python

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

· One or more relevant certifications such as PCNSE, PCSNA, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCSA, CCSE, etc.

· Supporting enterprise Wi-Fi over LAN and WAN environments (preferably Aruba)

· Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco network devices.

· Working in environments with >5,000 end points (VMs, workstations, etc)

· Experience with internal and external DNS and global DNS

· Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) systems such as InfoBlox, Solarwinds, etc.

· Experience with monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, AppDynamics, Nagios, Data Dog, PRTG

· Experience in local and global traffic management and load balancing solutions such as F5

· Network security experience including device hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, IPSec, vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection.

· Experience in network protocol analyzers/sniffers.

· Knowledge of all types of circuits – P2P, Dark and Lit Fiber, MPLS, WAN, MAN, PRIs

· Knowledge of heterogeneous networking components along with in depth knowledge of routing/ switching.
