As a CoStar Software Engineer in Test you will have a direct impact on highly visible Homes.com web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve Homes’ software product
This position is located in Irvine, CA and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
- Write and maintain automation documentation.
- Ensure that products conform to business requirements/company policies, software quality standards, and established procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members.
- Prepare and execute functional, integration, and regression test suites.
- Recommend and assist in corrective actions in automation testing.
- Develop Automation strategy and automation plan across projects.
- Create bug reports and work iteratively with developers to correct issues.
- Assess, recommend and implement tools to enhance testing.
- Innovative, flexible, self-directed, detail oriented.
- Work independently and meet deadlines.
- Actively engage in team coaching and mentoring.
- Excellent reporting and collaboration skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college
- A track record of commitment to prior employers
- 6+ years of fulltime QA Test automation experience as a Software Engineer in Test (SET/SDET)
- Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills with C#
- Experience with Postman .
- Experience building integration tests using tools like MSTest, NUnit, SpecFlow or similar Frameworks
- Strong experience with Microsoft Technologies, specifically .NET Framework, C#, TSQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and TFS is highly preferred
- Knowledge/Experience of Web development technologies including HTML, XPath, CSS, & JavaScript.
- Complete understanding of automation systems and databases.
- Experience in debugging code.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Agile testing methodologies and best practices.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and be proactive.

This position offers a base salary range of $105,000-$192,000 based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
