• Administers and maintains AMPO military pay and financial management systems, hardware, and software.
• Troubleshoots issues with hardware, Wide Area Network (WAN), and Local Area Network (LAN).
• Verifies that all computer equipment, attachments, and power support items are approved and in compliance with existing regulations, directives, and vendor specifications.
• Serves as an AMPO network security officer; implements security plans, processes procedures, and training to comply with DoD, DA and DFAS systems security rules, regulations, and standards.
• Provides technical support for all Mobilizations (MOBs), Demobilizations (DMOBs) and Soldier Readiness Processing at various locations.
• Renders technical computer support for the AMPO Director and AMPO Divisions and sections as needed.

Assists Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in performing patient care activities for psychiatric and long-term medical/surgical patients.

Rotates with other nursing assistants in assignments, working variable hours.

Assists with admissions and dismissals, including delivery of medical records as necessary.

Reports pertinent data in a timely manner to the medical staff including changes in patient’s condition requiring assessment and/or further intervention.

Prepares patient care area by restocking equipment and supplies needed by physicians or nurses performing treatments or exams.

Assists physicians and nurses with exams or treatments, including turning and positioning of patients, draping and use of safety restraints (e.g., safety straps, side rails) as necessary.

Procures proper equipment needed, maintains clean and sterile fields, secures specimens for laboratory analysis, labels specimens and transports them to the laboratory.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff’s correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

Optical Assistant - Role

• Working alongside an Optometrist to provide high levels of care
• Dispensing frames and lenses to all levels, including varifocals
• Delivery of glasses and aftercare visits
• Administrative duties - booking appointments, communicating with partners etc
• Driving to and from venues
• Mon - Fri / 9am - 5pm

Optical Assistant - Requirements

• Previous experience of working as an Optical Assistant
• Excellent communication skills; clear verbal and written communication with active listening skills
• Full clean driving license
