As a Technical Support Assistant, you will report to the Lead Design Engineer and work within Connections, Projects based in our Crawley office working as part of a team that strives to deliver excellent standards of customer service and quality, safety, and financial targets.
You will be responsible for managing customer requests for connection, diversion, or alteration of UKPN's network assets, as well as processing SmartConnect and G99 applications.
You will also develop skills in network assessment, point of connection analysis, pricing, and work pack creation. You will receive a competitive salary of £39,740 and a bonus of 3%, as well as a range of benefits such as generous personal pension plan, tenancy loan deposit scheme, tax efficient benefits, occupational health support, discounted access to sports and social clubs, and employee assistance programme. You will also have the opportunity to work in a blended mode after a six-month probationary period, with three days in the office and two days remote.
To apply for this role, you need to have a minimum of GCSE Grade C in both Maths and English, and experience working in an office-based environment. You also need to be customer-focused, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and willing to learn and develop. It is desirable but not essential to have a City & Guilds 2304 in Electrical Engineering or a similar qualification, and some knowledge of the variation, requote, and asset hierarchy processes, as well as the current standards and licence conditions.
