About Global Commercial Payments Platform

We are working on multiple technology stacks and want to add a highly motivated Engineer to our Commercial Payments organization in Foster City, CA. Visa's Commercial Payments organization is responsible for managing Visa's B2B Payment Global adoption on Cross-Border funds movement, innovation agenda and the management of strategic partnerships with critical financial institutions. This group is responsible for defining and building the Non-Card based payment innovation and product for Visa Inc. Globally. This includes:

• Distributed-Ledger based Cross border payment platform

• Near time Settlement 

• Enterprise ID stamping to create a digital identity for corporate entities

• Hyperledger chain-code development

• End-to-End Payment eco-system

Essential Functions

• Work on emerging technologies, building distributed applications

• Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.

• Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards. 

• Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved

• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.

• Partner with Product on implementation strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data and test scripts to ensure the quality of software products.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define test objectives, scope and entry/exit criteria for testing phases.
• Perform system testing (e.g., functional and performance testing).
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools.
• Review and analyse test results, identify defects and anomalies and work closely with the stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve the software testing process by identifying areas for improvement in testing practices and tools.

Requirements

• Strong background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• experience in software quality assurance testing.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or similar.
• Experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter or similar.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Phyton, or similar.
• Experience in issue management and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools, knowledge of security testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong collaboration skills.

Requirements

• Frontend and/or backend software engineering experience in building scalable products, with a demonstrated ability in designing and building well structured enterprise applications on commercial cloud:
• Adept skillsets in modern web application technology stack, such as React.js, Spring, FastAPI, Django, PostgreSQL.
• Experience in development and deployment on commercial cloud such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in containerisation technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to infrastructure provision tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge on the concept of DevSecOps and CI/CD, with experience in relevant CI technologies such as Git, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
• Understanding of the concept of Secure-By-Design Lifecycle for Agile and the utilisation of technologies for SAST and DAST.
• Practised Test-Driven Development with the utilisation of automated testing.
