We are seeking expressions of interest for a Chef Manager to join our team in Wodonga.  Based on our highly regarded multi-national food manufacturing client site  you will manage a small team that work around the clock, while working in a hands-on leadership role.  In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ordering food ingredients and planning menu.

Responsibilities include

• Manage the kitchen and team 
• Preparation, serving, and control of cooked and uncooked food
• Training of staff and ensuring that staff follows HAACP Food Safety protocol 
• Ordering, menu planning and compliance documentation
• Menu planning & costing and wage control.

This role is Monday to Friday 6.30-2.00pm, salary offered is $86,970 package.  

To be successful, you’ll need: 

• Australian Citizenship or, Full Australian working rights  
• Trade Certificate, Certificate III in Commercial Cookery  
• A SafeCheck food safety Supervisor certification
• Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, GFS, Outlook)

What you do:  

• Be available to travel to various sites that need you throughout the week.

• Deliver the highest quality cooking on a strict deadline.
• Oversee the chopping, seasoning, and cooking of fish, vegetables, meats, salads, soups, and other dishes.
• Plan the menu, place supply orders, and maintain accounts and records (Must be Computer Literate).
• Keep an eye on sanitary procedures to make sure staff members adhere to rules and guidelines.
• You will have access to SODEXO's New Operations training school

What you bring: 

• A minimum of 1 years of experience in hands on cooking, training on Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety will be given
• A can do attitude and zest to progress in your cooking career
• Exposure to or experience with large-scale cooking
