Your Role

You will lead the provision of an effective Assurance service providing independent assurance opinion to the Executive and Greater Manchester Combined Authority. Managing a small team to develop and deliver a range of assurance activities to support successful delivery of TfGM Business Plan & Greater Manchester Strategy priorities. Day to day this will include developing & agreeing assurance plans, leading Gateway reviews, supporting team delivery and development and robust assurance reporting.

Your role will sit within the Audit, Risk and Assurance team and reports into the Head of Risk and Assurance. We are a small supportive team that is great to work in, accredited as 2 star in our recent Best Companies staff survey. You will work with a range of colleagues at all levels across TfGM, GMCA and local authorities.

Your work will make a real difference to support the successful delivery of a complex and technically diverse portfolio of capital and revenue projects. This exciting portfolio includes cycling and walking infrastructure; new interchanges; light and heavy rail; bus route enhancements; bus franchising; new and enhanced highways, digital infrastructure; IS enabling technology and business change.

We’re looking for a relevant qualified project professional, with demonstrable experience and knowledge of undertaking assurance activities. You will be highly motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence others at all levels. Experience is required in leading, motivating and supporting staff progression.

This is a permanent position in a well-established team, with a salary of £56,361 - £63,438 per annum depending on skills and experience

Your Role

Due to expansion of the current team, TfGM are seeking a highly motivated Data Quality Officer. In this role you will join the Customer Travel Information Department, helping the team to deliver multiple data sets, in a variety of formats and to conflicting deadlines. This is a fast paced and varied role, the data we produce feeds multiple internal and customer focused areas, from journey planners to passenger information displays. As a Data Quality Officer, you will also be responsible for the management of various procurement, financial and project data.

Who are we?

The Customer Travel Information Department is at the forefront of an exciting period of change for TfGM, as we go ahead with Franchising the bus network, bringing it into public control for the first time in over 30 years. The Data Quality Officer will join the department during a challenging and rewarding time, supporting this exciting period here at TfGM by managing customer information data for use by internal and external products.

The Data Quality Officer role is a 12-month fixed term contract with a salary of £31,915 - £36,683 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
