Randstad Defence is currently partnering with a top-tier company who are working on a critical enterprise network modernisation program. They will lead the planning and designing of the communications, surveillance systems, and network services to support the critical air traffic control functions. To support this program, they are looking for a Technical Standards and Compliance Engineer.
This is a contract position based in their Melbourne office. As the roles involve working with high security networks, the eligible candidates must be Australian Citizens and eligible to get a Defence Security Clearance.
About the Role
Develop compliance process, procedure and checklist documentation for engineering design and installations.
Review and convert contract requirements, relevant global technical standards, Airservices Engineering Instructions (AEI), and Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) requirements into prescriptive standards for the site designs and installation plans.
Ensure that the architectural design meets the applicable standards and regulations throughout the product lifecycle.
Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
Develop and deliver training and guidance to engineering staff on prescriptive standards compliance.
About you
Bachelor of Engineering degree, with relevant majors (ideally Electronics or Communications).
Experience as an engineer on large electronic systems integration projects.
Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and technical procedures and the Australian electrical and communications landscape.
Familiarity with network management and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of Air Navigation Service Provider industry.
Experience working with governmental Air Traffic organisations (highly desirable).
Proficiency with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria and/or Queensland (highly desirable).
