The Assistant Director of Human Resources at AYANA Hospitality plays a crucial role in planning, managing, and coordinating all Human Resources activities within the company. This includes overseeing the administration of budget, benefits, wages, labor and employee relations, and training programs. As part of the leadership team, the Assistant Director of Human Resources ensures compliance with company policies, local regulations, and employment practices.
The Assistant Director will work closely with department heads to implement effective recruiting and screening procedures, ensuring the selection of the most qualified candidates for open positions. They will also support department heads in employee orientation, training, and development, as well as performance evaluation.
Additionally, the Assistant Director of Human Resources is responsible for maintaining employee records, legal documents, policies, and procedures. They will analyze the company's manpower requirements and make recommendations for selection and development activities to meet those needs. The Assistant Director will also stay updated on labor trends, social legislation, and any changes that may impact the organization.
Other responsibilities include overseeing employee facilities, coordinating employee social and recreational activities, and implementing employee relations and motivation programs. They will disseminate information on employer-employee relations, employee activities, and company policies to ensure effective communication throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or senior managerial role with extensive knowledge of labor law and employment regulations
- Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills, with knowledge of additional languages considered a plus
- Ability to lead and direct a diverse team of human resources professionals
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computerized communication and record-keeping programs.
- Professional HR certifications are a plus.
