Software Engineering Analyst, Mid

As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver complete end-to-end solutions to your clients. Using your software engineering experience, you’ll help analyze the environment to ensure that your team’s solutions consider the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You’ll strengthen your skills as you master new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements.

You Have:
- 2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
- 2+ years of experience in software development with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
- Experience applying expertise of the principles, concepts, and techniques in computer science and electrical engineering to produce targeted scientific and technical intelligence (S&TI) products of weapon systems
- Knowledge of multiple software programing languages, including C++, Python, and assembly, to understand critical software functionality of weapon systems
- Ability to write assessments and technical reports based on engineering and computer science analysis of weapon system software and firmware
- Ability to triage new software sets to identify priority software for deeper analysis
- Ability to analyze software or firmware extracted from weapon systems for capability and performance characterization as well as vulnerability assessments, and extract software or firmware from printed circuit boards
- Ability to utilize open source, commercially available, and government produced tools to support technical analysis of software systems, perform digital forensics analysis of memory devices to recover valuable information in system analysis, and produce working virtual machines from software sets provided that may need specific support software or hardware drivers to be produced
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal
- Knowledge of acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
- Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
