Head of Highways and Transportation

To lead and manage the functions needed for the maintenance and management of the highway network and its related assets and infrastructure, involving promoting and supporting transport related safety issues and healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for maintaining an overview of service performance in compliance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice; initiating action as necessary.
• Managing the delivery of efficient and effective highways and traffic management services, keeping the service up to date and leading on all service developments.
• Being Head of Service; and to exercise delegated powers and be the principal advisor on highways and traffic management functions and duties, including reviewing, developing and implementing policies and strategies across the service.
• Ensuring that the services managed remain relevant and deliver value for money in accordance with Council policies and strategies, through the delivery of the annual service plan, service reviews and action plans.
• Establishing and maintain excellent internal and external relationships with stakeholders in order to facilitate the work of the services provided and to enhance the Council's image. To represent the Council on national and regional professional forums.
• Be responsible for the delivery of the service budgets, including delivery of the annual budgeted surplus and income and savings targets.

Knowledge

• Detailed and practical understanding of policy, legislation and practice relating to highways & traffic management
• Up to date knowledge of effective management technique, including management of large budgets
• Knowledge of relevant Government policies relating to operational services
• Strong understanding of the structure and the workings of local government and other agencies involved in highways & traffic management services.

Job Summary

**Note: This role is hybrid/flex role, requiring a minimum of 3 days in office & 2 days remote**

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Business OR 6 years experience.
• 4 years experience in Medical claims, customer service, physician office or hospital or healthcare environment
• 3 years experience in a position which requires in-depth physician/provider relations, including but not limited to, contracting and reimbursement issues.
• Ability to negotiate and contract with healthcare providers.
• Platform skills; organizational and planning skills; and ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility, including overnight stays.
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior territory management experience.
• Knowledge of Texas Medicaid Claims
• Knowledge of BCBSTX claims processing systems
• Billing and Coding Background
• TMHP Knowledge
• HHSC Knowledge

About the Role

• Provide technical expertise in the management of network facilities
• Configure, install, maintain and upgrade computer hardware including physical hardware such as servers, laptops, network switches, routers and software
• Administer web system hardware and operating system server software
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to AIA's internal users of computer applications and hardware

Your Challenge

The Voice of the Customer manager is a key pillar of our strategy: we want to develop a product that our customers love. To do so, we need to listen, to ask and to understand what our customers are telling us … or not! The VOC manager will is comfortable interacting with customers as much as with data. She/He can propose interpretations and stories of our customer’s experiences and back her claims with solid data (qualitative or quantitative).

• Responsible for the customer research process in a full product’s lifecycle
• Connecting and combining insights from both qualitative and quantitative data to understand a problem
• Identify and translate the surveys outcomes into the audience requirement
• Actively identify where feedback collecting could help improve the customer success team’s understanding of customer experience
• Aside from surveys, use data to recognize key themes and trends for customer’s needs using analytics skills
• Create and develop data and insights in a structured way in order to suggest improvement opportunities
• Utilize data driven insights as a material to encourage the organization to act on customer feedback.
• Partner with the team to create dashboards and reports that show transparency of the survey results

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, sociology, market research or any other related field.
• 1-3 years direct experience in Customer Experience, Customer Insights, or Market research
• Experience in running customer interviews, focus groups and on-field research.
• Excellent analysis skills and ability to work with complex data sets to develop reports and dashboards
• Experience in digital customer experience in a high growth, fast paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially during peak hours or intense situations
• Detailed oriented and work with high accuracy
• Self-motivated, well-organized, flexible and result oriented
• Has an open mind towards new ways of doing things
• Interested in understanding how mind and behaviors influence each other in relation to purchasing decisions
• Aware of cognitive bias
