As a Lead Applications Engineer, you will use your knowledge of different high-speed interface standards such as PCIe, CXL, Ethernet and USB to architect interface solutions for customers using Cadence Serdes IP and showcase the performance of the IP.  This role offers the benefit of both technical growth and business skill development. You will be part of the Technical Field Organization helping educate customers and providing solutions to them using our Serdes IP portfolio.  Our serial interface PHY and controller IPs are used in data centers, mobile devices, automobiles and consumer devices.

Responsibilities include:

·       Technical presales and configuration of High-Speed Interface IP, including PCIe, CXL and Ethernet PHY and Controllers

·       Present Cadence’s IP portfolio and capabilities to prospective customers

·       Serve as a product expert in digital controller and PHY IPs and protocols

·       Work closely with IP Sales staff, marketing and R&D teams to win opportunities

·       Demonstrating IP Performance at industry events and to prospective customers

·       Provide quick-turn product specific technical support to customers, field teams, architects and designers

·       Write application notes and articles for internal and/or external publication

·       Travel to customer sites may be required occasionally

Qualifications:

·       BS in EE, CE or related equivalent with 6+ years of relevant work experience or MS in EE, CE or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant work experience

·       Knowledge of one or more high speed interface protocols – PCIe, CXL, UCIe, Ethernet, USB, MIPI, 112G, 56G

·       Strong knowledge of PHY and/or controllers for one or more high speed interface protocols

·       Individual leadership and initiative to manage pre-sales accounts

·       Excellent presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills is a must

Nice to have:

·       Lab validation and demo setup skills

·       Experience on high-speed interface controller and/or PHY verification

·       Knowledge of AXI and PIPE interface protocols

·       Working knowledge of high-speed interface PHY

The annual salary range for California is $98,000 to $182,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. Adobe is looking for a Director of Design to join the team and drive the definition and expansion of GenStudio. You will lead a group of passionate and hardworking design to define and develop new GenAI powered marketing workflows. Through design, you will bring together powerful capabilities from across Adobe into great end to end experiences for the simplest user and use cases through to supporting studios, creative and marketing professionals in multifaceted campaign delivery.
 

Working closely with Product and Engineering executives, you will provide strategic design direction and feedback to the design and engineering teams to uplevel craft, and find resolutions to ambiguous problem spaces. You will tremendously impact the future of collaboration and virality, while helping to define new opportunities to expand the reach of our tools. From the smallest detail, to big-picture concepts, to long-term strategy, our work is put to the test by millions of creative and marketing users across a variety of fields and experience levels every single day.

What you'll Do

• Coach and mentor designers and design leaders, hire and attract top-notch talent to the team, and foster a culture where designers grow, learn and do their best work.
• Build a collaborative environment, encourage deep partnership with cross-functional teams, set a high bar for design craft, and define and implement design strategy for redesigns, 1.0s.
• Lead the GenStudio teams through strategy, creative direction, and collaboration with product teams and other partners.
• Have an impact beyond your direct reporting structure to influence end to end integrations, partner team requirements, and the definition of foundational capabilities to be used by team across Adobe.
• Own the articulation and creation of design strategy on a few pivotal initiatives.
• Contribute to the product strategy discussions by expressing vivid design visions.
• Incite action in cross-functional partners to deliver a better user and business outcomes.
• Guide the teams in weekly, monthly, and quarterly product releases
   

What you need to succeed

• 6+ years of equivalent practical experience leading designers, managing design leaders is a plus.
• Experience designing and delivering Enterprise GenAI powered experiences. Enterprise marketing software, AI driven workflow development, storytelling, as well as awareness of current industry trends and tooling are essential.
• Understand what it takes to get a product idea to launch to optimize.
• Lead empathetically, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for the design team to do innovative and impactful work!
• Embody a learner and mentor mentality; curiosity and ongoing self-education in the field of marketing and GenAI driven systems.
• Experience working with executives on ambiguous problems and crafting big picture strategies driven by design.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are a prerequisite. Articulate design strategy through solid, strategic presentations.
• Effective facilitation across product-design-engineering teams in early stages of key projects.
• Deep expertise in strategic problem framing and solving problems through high design craft.

Today, Electronic Warfare (EW) is a growing enterprise - protecting the warfighter and our national security against ever-adapting threats. The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) at Leidos currently has an opening for a mid-level hardware design engineer to support a portfolio of programs in San Diego developing state-of-the-art  hardware architectures such as system-on-chip (SoC).  As an Hardware Architect, you will join a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team of signal processing and software engineers who are developing leading-edge, cyber-resilient hardware processor solutions.

The selected individual will support activities throughout the entire hardware design lifecycle to include post-fabrication integration and test.  He/she is expected to perform a wide range of functions to include conceptual design, system engineering, hardware/software integration, and validation.  The selected individual must possess a strong understanding of hardware components and radio frequency (RF) hardware for use in embedded systems.  This includes application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC), field programmable gate arrays (FPGA), digital signal processors (DSP), and data converters.  He/she must also possess a sound knowledge of radar concepts as well as a good understanding of algorithm implementation and hardware/software co-design.  Along with program specific technical activities, he/she will also support business development within Leidos’ broader Hardware portfolio.  The selected candidate will interact daily with Leidos subcontractors and potential partners within the semiconductor industry. 

Primary responsibilities:

• Design, integrate, and test SoCs suited for a diverse array of signal processing applications

• Drive SoC architecture definition through documentation to include preliminary design specifications, system requirements, interface control documents, block diagrams, IP and DFT configurations

• Provide technical guidance and subcontractor oversight throughout SoC design process to include, supervising design activities (RTL, DFT, physical design, verification), integration (packaging), and test (test application/demo)

• Resolve complex issues related to architectural approaches, requirements, specifications and design

• Work closely with a team of software, firmware, and systems engineers to ensure Leidos’ SoCs meet product requirements

• Attend regular customer meetings and lead technical discussions/program reviews to support federal government customers

• Cultivate relationships within the semiconductor industry to support Leidos business strategy

• Keep abreast of SoC technology to influence design decisions, specifically: processors, foundry, trust, intellectual property, standards, trends, tools & methodology

• Interface with the program management team to advance portfolio performance

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or M.S. degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience

• Requires on-site work in San Diego, CA

• Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

• Experience with SoC technology and components to include ASICs, FPGAs, DSPs, data converters

• Familiarity with SoC design flow to include RTL, DFT, PD, Verification

• Experience developing SoC test plans, executing SoC validation and test, evaluating test results, performing analysis and writing technical reports

• Experience with embedded signal processing algorithms, simulations, models, and/or software for deployment on complex SoCs

• Working knowledge of C/C++ and Linux operating systems

• Well-organized, reliable, attention to detail, demonstrated personal initiative. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Good interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate work with others. Good oral and written communication skills

• 10% travel to customer/subcontractor sites as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters’ degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering with emphasis on digital/ASIC/FPGA design is a plus.

• 2+ years of ASIC and/or FPGA design experience

• Breadth of experience with SoCs and associated hardware to include printed circuit boards (PCBs), FPGAs, and custom ASICs

• Working knowledge of electronics test equipment like function generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab power supplies.

• Hands-on development of low-level embedded system software and device drivers for ASIC or SoC

• Strong understanding of radar theory and fundamentals with experience working in areas of radar modeling and simulation and/or algorithm development

• Demonstrated leadership of a SoC development project

• Experience leading technical proposals or participating in business development strategy
