Job Overview
NetPMD Design & Integration is looking for multiple Senior Fibre Network Designers with significant experience in Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network design. This role is office-based in Oswestry, Shropshire. Salary is dependent on experience and pro rata for the course of the contract duration. The contract is initially for 3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Lead FTTH network design: Oversee the design and planning of FTTH networks for projects based in the USA.
- Develop and standardise processes: Utilise your extensive knowledge to design and implement efficient processes for FTTH network design, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
- Create and refine deliverables: Take responsibility for developing and refining key deliverables, such as High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Permit Drawings, Splicing Schematics, Straight Line Diagrams (SLD) and Bill of Materials (BOMs), ensuring they meet both internal and client standards.
- Train and mentor team members: Provide training and mentorship to other team members, helping them to understand and follow established processes and best practices.
- Translate client specifications into actionable plans: Work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements, translating these into clear, actionable documentation for the team to follow, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate on advanced tasks: Work alongside our advanced GIS team to manage high-level tasks such as project creation, PostGIS management, and process improvement, ensuring the team’s technical excellence.
- Ensure quality assurance: Oversee the quality of all deliverables, ensuring they meet or exceed both client expectations and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in FTTH planning network design, including the development and management of key deliverables.
- Proficiency in GIS tools such as QGIS and ArcGIS.
- AutoCAD or permitting experience is a bonus.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
- Experience in the USA market is a bonus, but we can provide training if your experience is in another locality.
- Must be able to work from our Oswestry office.
