DUTIES

Your duties as the Firmware Engineer / Embedded Software Developer include:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain firmware for embedded systems

• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components, including specific hardware components, e.g., microcontrollers, sensors, actuators

• Optimise firmware for performance, power consumption, and memory usage

• Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues, using debugging tools and techniques

• Stay up-to-date with the latest firmware development technologies and industry trends


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

• Strong proficiency in C++ programming

• Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers would be desirable

• Knowledge of firmware development tools and methodologies

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

• A passion for embedded systems and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies
