Head of Procurement Contracts & Commercialisation who has excellent leadership and stakeholder management experience to lead up 3 teams (Procurement, Commercialisation and Digital Solutions) is require for a well-established organisation based in Wokingham, Berkshire.
SALARY: £69,438 - £76,458 per annum Plus Generous Benefits (see below)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head of Procurement Contracts & Commercialisation who has excellent leadership and stakeholder management experience to lead up 3 teams (Procurement, Commercialisation and Digital Solutions).
Working as the Head of Procurement Contracts & Commercialisation you will play a pivotal role in the organisation, which includes driving a change of culture and improvement across service areas and importantly steering the organisation through its implementation of the Procurement Act.
The critical elements of the role include:
• Leadership of 3 teams: Procurement, Commercialisation & Digital Solutions
• Wide range of categories of spend: leading value engineering approaches
• Lead member of Senior Management within the organisation, playing a key role in the Strategic Procurement Board
• Development & implementation of Commercial Strategy
• Identification and delivery of a pipeline of procurement and commercial activity across the organisation
As the Head of Procurement Contracts & Commercialisation you will be professionally qualified, but more importantly can work alongside key stakeholders to drive the changes required – using your flair for procurement & commercialisation that delivers value for money.
DUTIES
Your core duties as Head of Procurement Contracts & Commercialisation include:
• Take the lead for procurement & commercialisation, working alongside key stakeholders to drive incremental culture and transformational change across service areas
• Responsible in delivering the procurement & commercial cycle, including relevant leadership; technical expertise; budget management; strategic contract management; and performance review of key contracts
• Maintain and develop a planned pipeline of procurement and commercial activities, resourced in order to maximise the effectiveness and outcomes
• Own the review & implementation of both the Procurement Strategy & Commercial Strategy. To lead the implementation of Climate Emergency Action Plan for Procurement
• Lead the implementation of the Procurement Act, maximising all available commercial and service benefits whilst ensuring compliance
• Shape and ensure appropriate reporting for the Strategic Procurement Board, ensuring the provision of a high-quality professional service, holding professional accountability for the Procurement Team and advice given to services
• Share leadership of the finance service, to set its strategic direction and deliver its service outcomes for its residents, customers and clients in line with the Finance Service Plan
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent leadership & stakeholder skills with ability to work collaboratively and influence
• Procurement & Commercial expertise
• Experience of implementing new approaches to procurement & commercial in a complex organisation
• Understanding of the Procurement Act & ability to lead the implementation whilst maximising commercial benefits
