The Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist – SAP Technical, to join our Financial Services business and set up the payroll system, conducting periodic reviews, resolving malfunctions, and fixing problems. This role will be based in our AIA Sydney office.
The successful candidate would be responsible for:
• Advising users to formulate and document business requirements.
• Working with payroll vendor to edit personnel calculation schemas, personnel calculation rules, and features as per business requirement.
• Evaluating wage type characteristics and outputs ensuring compliance with legislation (PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers’ comp, FBT etc.)
• Processing UAT testing, upgrades, and system upgrades
• Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending efficient business practices, and system functionality and behaviour.
• Create user and training documentation for payroll and conduct formal training sessions.
• Support end to end processing of payrolls for both AIA & CMLA entities including third party payments and statutory reporting when required.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
• Proven experience in SAP HR/HCM
• Successful track record of Australia/New Zealand payrolls with hands-on experience in full lifecycle SAP HR and/or Payroll implementation projects.
• Experience working in Global organisations with excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to build relationships with senior collaborators and staff.
• Experience in leading payroll projects including data migration, system implementations and improvements, and process changes.
• Current knowledge of Payroll legislation including, Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Parental Leave and Long Service Leave
