Your new role

Important tasks include:

• Act in responsible charge while directly performing assigned tasks conforming with the Company's quality standards and the project budget and schedule.
• Initiate and maintain communication with clients and contractors to coordinate technical project requirements.
• Communicate the status of projects to the Department Manager.
• Interface with clients to define the scope of work and job tasks.
• Work directly with clients to identify and resolve problems within the area of technical expertise.
• Propose new approaches to problems encountered and recommend changes in methods, procedures, or designs.
• Perform as a team member or a project manager, consistent with the skills and experience required for the project.

What you'll need to succeed

• BEng, MEng, or MSc in an appropriate/relevant discipline (or recognised appropriate equivalent) with at least five years' experience working as a Project Engineer/Consultant.
• Experience of designing/assessing steel and concrete elements to internationally recognised codes and standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD, STAAD, MathCAD and Finite Element Analysis (not essential, other software experience e.g. TEDDS is suitable)
• The ability to communicate technical aspects of projects and work assignments to peers, subordinates, and clients orally and in writing.
• The ability to direct the execution of moderately complex engineering tasks, as appropriate.
• Knowledge of related technical disciplines.
• Ability to identify and efficiently analyse solutions to problems.

We are recruiting for a temporary position supporting the training team within a large North West Housing Association. Due to having a number of new starters within the business and ongoing training required, the training team are looking for someone to support the training team with administration support.


Your new role
You will be asked to produce training guides, presentations and any training activities, and will support the trainers with any required admin support. This role is a hybrid, and you will be required to attend the office based in Warrington 1-2 days per week to support with any office-based training. This role will be 9-5pm Monday - Friday.


What you'll need to succeed
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will be required along with good ICT skills, and you will be able to pick systems up quickly. Previous experience of producing training guides and presentations is essential.

NNL are at the forefront of nuclear research and development in the UK and beyond with a wide range of projects that require creative Human Factors support and we are looking for individuals who want to join our team and make a difference to these projects. There will also be an opportunity to apply and shape Human Factors practice in the nuclear industry and contribute to research in this area.
