Grimshaw Signs are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Signwriter to join their team in Wangaratta Vic 3677.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Engaging in discussions with clients and assessing proposals, sketches, and written instructions to determine the composition of signage
- Utilizing computer software and signmaking machinery to design and produce signs and graphics
- Crafting signs by measuring and calculating letter sizes, prepping surfaces, applying background paint using brushes, sprays, or rollers, and fashioning letters with brushes, stencils, enamel paint, and decals
- Developing wall murals, screen prints, gold leaf work, and custom vehicle art
- Applying lacquers, varnishes, paints, and various materials for sign and lettering painting
- Painting signs on various surfaces such as brick, metal, wood, glass, plastic, and others
- Constructing and installing three-dimensional signs
- Creating cost estimates for labor and materials
- Possibly working on scaffolding when needed
- Potentially installing signs at on-site locations
Skills and Abilities:
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Signwriter
- Certificate III in Signs and Graphics or other relevant qualification
- Ability to work in a team environment
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
