About The Role:

As a suitably qualified and experienced Engineer (Mechanical and or Electrical/ Instrumentation) you will be based at the Manufacturing facility in Shildon, County Durham, or you would be attending routine installs and service visits at client sites throughout the UK. You would be part of a growing team although you may also be required to work unsupervised so similar experience/ competency will be necessary.

Typical work would involve conducting commissioning and maintenance activities such as; Instrumentation Setup and Calibration, Reverse Osmosis Membrane & Filter replacement, Mechanical Disassembly of Pressure Vessels such as WFI/ PSG chambers, Chemical Cleaning as well as Mechanical Rotating Equipment and Electrical & Instrument troubleshooting and repairs (12VDC – 415VAC). All works are carried out in accordance with an approved method statement with on-the-job training included with the role.


Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidates come from an Engineering / Electrical / Process/ Chemical / Services background with previous experience and knowledge of Pharmaceutical Process Equipment including Purified Water Systems such as; Pre-treatment, RO/EDI, WFI Distillation, Plant & Clean Steam Generators, being considered a distinct advantage. Specialist product training will be provided for the right person.

Due to the location of client sites, frequent travel will be required with this role. This is typically travelling early Monday morning and returning Friday afternoon or sooner. Occasional Sunday travel is required for clients. All expenses are paid and additional working hours including travel will be paid at overtime rate. Saturday and Sunday shifts are subject to additional uplift payments on top of overtime hours.

This company has appointed Hays to recruit an Office / Sales Administrator who will be based at their modern premises in Derry. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role.

Your new role
As Office / Sales Administrator, you will work within an established team and be the first point of contact for incoming telephone and email customer enquiries, providing a professional service at all times. You will be responsible for liaising with customers via verbal and written forms regarding their product orders and delivery schedules. Ensuring all orders are processed in a timely manner and PO's raised for all items ordered. You will liaise with suppliers to agree delivery dates for orders. Highlight any issues with the supplier and agree solutions. As part of your role, you will manage all outgoing deliveries to customers, making sure these are completed on a timely basis and effectively address any concerns highlighted by customers. Keeping all customers updated on the delivery of their goods. As Office / Sales administrator, you will provide administration support to the MD, including compiling quotes etc in relation to orders. You will also make outbound calls to customers to make them aware of suitable products based on their requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring all the team have completed all necessary training required to fulfil their job roles.


What you'll need to succeed
As Office / Sales Administrator, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience within an administration role. You will be confident liaising with people via verbal and written forms and be proficient in Microsoft suite. You will work well within a team environment and be capable of making decisions in line with business requirements.

Your new company is a construction company based in Surrey that specialises in the installation of interior fixtures and fittings for commercial and residential properties in the Southeast & London areas. The company is an SME that has enjoyed rapid expansion and an impressive increase in turnover that has created a position for a QS to support the Director in organising the JCT contracts to fulfil the demand on their list of tasks managing the subcontractors and materials. They currently have thirteen current jobs valued from £0.25million to £4million.

Your new role is to work alongside the Operations Director, supporting the Contracts Managers and Project Managers to read the scope of works, interpret the procurement schedules for sophisticated blue-chip corporate individual projects valued from £0.25 million to £4 million and execute a plan to supply direct and subcontract workers with their materials on time and within budget. You will work within the confines of the contract, offering the best value to the customer while ensuring commercial gain is made. This role is an office-based role in Surrey or site based in London and would include site visits with their customers, who are the main contractors. You will be dealing with the specific products, which include plasterboard, suspended ceiling systems, dry-wall partition systems & MF systems.
What you'll need to succeed is a UK qualification in Quantity Surveying, previous UK experience of being a QS with a subcontractor that delivers interiors, ceilings, walls and dry lining. You will have a high level of organisational skills and have previous office experience and proficiency in MS Office such as Word, Excel and you will be trained in some specialist software for interpreting drawings. We would accept similar subcontract experience from suppliers of floor, cladding, architectural metal, curtain walling or joinery as they are transferable skills.
You will need to have your own transport and the head office is not located near any transport links and is in a rural location.

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for Utility Operators for a leading Manufacturing Client in the Bridgend area.

Job role

Checks with the Yard Supervisor at the start of day to understand the priorities and receive direction.
Daily drain inspection and sampling.
General cleaning of Yards, Cement Briquette Plant, Rod Mill, Charging Conveyors & Furnace Buildings.
Assist with down day cleaning across plant – High pressure water jetting, sack and slab filter replacement.
The operation of mobile plant - fork lift truck, bob cat loading shovel, front loading shovel, scissors lift and cherry picker, as required.
Assist with recycling product via the rod mill, and the subsequent recycling / disposal of pallets.
Collection, transport and blowing of fly ash pots in accordance with the factory instructions.
Receipt of raw materials and operation of the weigh bridge if required.
Must also be flexible and willing to work in other areas of the factory as required i.e. Production lines & Fabrication.
Makes adjustment and minor repairs to equipment in the job holder’s control to ensure they are fully optimised.
Daily check of fluid levels and general condition of mobile plant under the job holders’ control. Reports defects or wear to the supervisor or shift maintenance.
Operates at a level of performance to maintain any agreed performance targets.
Maintains good housekeeping standards. By acting as the 6S Champion in accordance with the 6S system of work.
Complies with a safe method of working and reports any potential unsafe practices or hazards. Also adhere to relevant procedures to minimise the risk of fire.
The hours of work are rotational weekly shifts:

Week 1 - 6am to 2pm.

Week 2 - 10am to 6pm/Monday to Wednesday/Thursday and Friday 8am to 4pm.

Week 3 - 6am to 2pm/Monday to Wednesday - off Thursday and Friday - back in Saturday and Sunday 6am to 2pm.

Week 4 - 10am to 6pm/Monday to Friday.

The hourly rate is £14.58.
