Hays Recruitment are working with a well known Norfolk-based car manufacturer who are looking to recruit experienced Paint Sprayers to join their team on a permanent basis, based near Norwich.
Previous experience in a similar paint spraying role is essential to be considered for this position.
Your new role
This is an interesting and varied role working for a prestigious local company.
The role involves working within the paint and spray team, preparing the car panels ready for painting following a defined process. You will apply primer and various coats to ensure the required excellent standard is reached on each occasion, working in a timely manner to meet set deadlines.
The job will be based at Hethel, about 8 miles from Norwich to the Southwest, near Wymondham, working on a permanent Twilight shift.
Shift patterns are Monday to Thursday, 4.30pm until 2am.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous paint spraying experience is essential as you will be expected to quickly perform this role at the required level and have a firm understanding of the job required.
An eagerness to learn new skills and techniques is also vital and being able to work alone with little supervision.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Meeting daily quality & production targets, as set by the area Supervisor.
- Ensuring documented processes are followed.
- Working in a structured manner.
- Completing tasks in the allocated time.
- Learning new production techniques & processes.
- Communicating with the Team Leader / Senior Team Leader on concerns & shortages.
- Handling all parts & equipment with care & attention.
- Working with minimal supervision.
- Recording production data for analysis.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Using & maintaining all supplied Personal Protective Equipment in good condition.
- Actively participating in training.
- Supporting the supervisors & other operators with future build rates & absence cover.
What you'll get in return
The starting salary for this role is £29,000 plus Twilight shift allowance per shift (£27.77 per shift)
Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 4.30pm to 2am = 38hrs per week
