Your new role

• Provide and maintain a friendly and supportive environment in the scheme.
• Cover reception tasks including phone calls, post and enquiries.
• Support customers in managing their rent and service charge payments, including their benefit claims where necessary.
• Undertake regular health and safety room checks.
• Support customers and provide crisis intervention where necessary.
• Provide advice on housing, health, welfare benefit claims and other issues as necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

• Someone with a genuine understanding and compassion for people without a home, who won't judge but instead will empower customers and give them a voice.
• A flexible and adaptable approach and someone able to work around the needs of the customer.
• Some experience dealing with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment.
• Some experience dealing with complex/ difficult behaviours in relation to women experiencing multiple disadvantages.
• Great communication skills.

A leader in Care Homes based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

Your new role
This role will primarily be responsible for day-to-day financial processing.

Duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Processing financial transactions
• Purchase orders
• Debtors
• Supplier payments
• Client billing
• Client and vendor transactions
• Bank reconciliation
• Credit control
• Purchase ledger
• Respond and answer to queries from internal/external customers
• Accurate maintenance of all ledgers

What you'll need to succeed

• You will be an ambitious, self-motivated person with an eye for detail and deadlines.
• You will have previous experience in a similar role to hit the ground running.

What you'll be doing

As an HR Projects & Data Manager, you will lead our HR digital transformation journey by identifying and delivering technology-driven projects to enhance process efficiency. You will also spearhead our HR data strategy, ensuring robust processes are in place for proactive data management and structure maintenance.

• Data Management and Governance: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR data strategy, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security across HR systems. Work with stakeholders to maintain compliance with GDPR.

Your new role

Reporting to the FC, they will be fully accountable for the whole AP ledger from invoices through to ledger reconciliation. Proposing supplier payments in line with terms whilst always looking to optimise our current supplier base, new & existing. They will drive continual improvements to the current processes within the purchasing department and engage with the wider business to achieve a seamless operation.

• Creating & maintaining supplier master records
• Matching, checking & coding purchase invoices in line with the organisations authorisation matrix
• Accurately input invoices onto the organisations accounting system
• Processing staff expenses
• Review and reconcile CIS subcontractors (payments, returns)
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Produce supplier payment runs for approval
• Being the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
• Develop & build strong business relationships with all suppliers
• Partner with other departments to support the purchase ledger function
• Ensure the ledger is maintained at all times
• Escalate queries promptly with the relevant regions and provide timely resolution
• Continuously reviewing procedures and systems to identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote and advocate continuous learning
• Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
• Document & maintain processes and procedures
• Support with the year end audit as & when required
