Your new role
Oversee all facets of the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and maintaining accurate records.

• Collaborate with solicitors to escalate overdue accounts to legal action when necessary, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and company policies.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to address payment issues and updates. Coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless information flow and support.
• Generate detailed debt reports upon request, providing insights and data to assist in financial decision-making and strategy.

• Handle card receipts and cash inputs efficiently, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.

Post Summary

The Advocacy Services Department are an in-house administration team, supporting a panel of county court advocates who attend litigation hearings nationwide. Our client's advocates are all legal professionals, and their clients range from individuals with debt or property claims at court, to large Solicitor Firms, and Insurance Companies.

Working within the Advocacy Services Department, your core task will be to oversee the Advocacy Diary through regular engagement and liaison with advocate colleagues.

You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of the Court Advocacy Diary, as well as providing administrative and clerical support to the team, ensuring the smooth running of the Department.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Inputting & updating Advocacy Diary. By booking and editing court hearing entries, you will ensure people attend all court hearings on time.
• Chasing clients and advocates for late responses for papers and bookings.
• Assisting the Advocate Manager in collating Advocacy Diary data.
• General office duties - attending to incoming calls and emails, checking files, and uploading case papers onto the web-based systems.

Competencies and Requirements

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail - due to the nature of the job, the candidate is required to be careful and very thorough when completing tasks.
• Confident with good communication skills (both orally and in writing)
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft 365 Office and other relevant software

Your new role
You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring proper recording and reporting of financial transactions, along with providing finance support to operational and marketing teams responsible for showing cost budgets and revenue. You will build, review and maintain budgets and forecasts in the FP&A system. Financial accounting responsibility for all legal entities within remit, balance sheet reconciliation and audit compliance. Ad hoc reporting and analysis. Supporting the Finance Director and wider business to develop new and innovative analysis to help the business focus on performance and delivering financial objectives. Implement improvements to accounting processes and provide ad-hoc support as required for the senior finance team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant or qualified by experience ideally from an SME background with strong management accounting and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with key stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of the gas Plant, including fabric & basic electrical tasks of buildings as required under contract. You must ensure all PPM and Reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards and all required paperwork is completed and submitted within timescales. You need to also participate on the On-Call Rota.

You should be capable to monitor of visiting sub-contractors with regard to standard of work and health and safety. You need to issue appropriate permits, control small work and escort duties as required.
You must ensure all certification is correctly completed and remedial works clearly identified. You need to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, complete the appropriate paperwork and reports and ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales.

You will have a full current driving licence. I must have a strong customer care focus, good communication skills and proactive skills.
You should be able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults. You must be capable of completing essential paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.The ideal candidate would be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines. You must have experience of maintenance, testing & fault-finding on a variety of equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable). You should have strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
