HGV Class 2 Driver/ Operative

Hours: AM (06.00 - 14.30) or PM (12.00 - 21.30, 15.30-21.30 paid at time and a third) shifts available
Days: Monday - Friday
Duration: Temporary ongoing
Duties:
Working as part of a small team, collecting domestic waste and recycling,
Vehicle checks and reporting faults and defects,
Safely navigating residential roads, on specified routes and adherence to schedules,
Collecting and replacing residential bins,
Loading and operating machinery, when required,
Adherence to health and safety, highways and driving regulations.
Training for this role will including loading duties, to train in the operation of the equipment.
Experience:
Must have valid Class 2 (Category C) Drivers licence, CPD (Driver Qualification Card) and Tachograph (Driver Card).
Must be able to work well as part of a team and be physically fit, due to nature of duties, including the ability to walk for distances.
Must have a good knowledge of the Island’s road network.
Must have own transport due to the location of the depot.
Must be flexible with working hours.
Salary: £14.03 per hour worked (15.30-21.30 paid at time and a third)
