The role

The initial stage of the biscuit production which is pivotal. An environment which can be very physical very team orientated and clear communication. This role requires common sense, ability to work on your own initiative and follow processes. Starting with rota sheet which tells allocates you to a particular line/plant. Then checking the recipe sheet and ensure that the mixing machine is appropriately aligned to the settings i.e. weight number of individual mixes.

Key accountabilities

• Mixer – working from a menu/recipe sheet to ensure that the mixer is appropriately set. This machine determines the order and amount of the ingredients. Doing quality control checks to determine the consistency colour etc of the mix. Recipes will also have “Add Ons” These are chemical ingredients which are added manually by the mixer i.e. soda salt etc. The chemical mixture is prepared separately by the Chemical Maker and are brought over to the Mixer.

• Chemical Mixer– working with a variety of chemical ingredients following instructions making this mix and bringing it to the mixer. Manual role following guidelines and using shovels to insert mix and using weighing machine to quantify correct receipt portions.

• Servicer – Gets the bulk ingredients from the warehouse to the mixing and storage facility. Requires use of FL (although some one can do this for you) using pallet trucks. Very physical, checking stock requirements.

The role

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our wrapping machinery, contributing to the quality of our products while minimising production disruptions. Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 15:30 (1 hour unpaid break), Friday 08:30 – 12:15 (15 minutes unpaid break)

Pupil Support Officers play a key role in supporting the assessment, planning and direct support of children:

Our client is a reputable contractor committed to providing high-quality housing and maintenance services to council properties. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance electrician to join our team on a temporary basis.

Your new role

Your responsibilities will include both the installation and maintenance of electrical works in both residential and commercial properties, including;

• Performing general electrical work, including fixing issues with existing electrical works.
• Installing new electrical works as required.
• Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of electrical works.
• Responding to emergency electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

What you'll need to succeed

Our client is looking for an electrician whose background is maintenance and is comfortable in a maintenance environment, working with members of the public. Successful candidates will preferably have experience as a maintenance electrician in residential as well as commercial properties.Main requirements:

• Proven experience as a maintenance electrician
• Relevant electrician qualifications (18th Edition Wiring Regulations, ECS Card)
• Valid UK driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organisational skills

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities as a Resourcer will include:

• Proactive search, selection and recruitment activities resourcing call centre staff
• Utilising a variety of methods including job boards, social media, referrals and open days
• Screen, interview and access candidates
• Engage with vetting and compliance team
• Assist candidates with the application process
• Updating systems and adherence to procedures and best practise
• Provide resourcing solutions and services to allocated client accounts
• Attend daily team meetings and working to KPI's
• Working from home once onboarded and initial training completed
• Attending our offices in Edinburgh or Manchester for training
• Supporting other areas of the business in resourcing tasks
• Develop and continually review applicant attraction strategy
• Ensure a pipeline of candidates is maintained
