Your new role

An excitingopportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join the team on acomplex and busy site in the centre of Glasgow. You will oversee theconstruction of an 18-storey, approximately 600-room building from the groundup. The project will involve the use of post-tensioned (PT) slabs andreinforced concrete (RC) frames, among other advanced construction techniques.This role requires a strong background in managing large-scale constructionprojects and a keen eye for detail to ensure the successful delivery of thisambitious development.

• SMSTS
• First Aid
• CSCS - Black card
• Fire Marshall.
• Previous experience with complex projects.
• Experience with RC frames, PT slabs and other advanced construction techniques.

Our client is a very well established, international Legal firm. They are currently looking for an experienced PA to lead the secretarial functions across Scotland.

Your new role
This role can be based out of either the Edinburgh or Glasgow offices, both located within the city centre with travel required across the country. You will be supporting 27 Personal Assistants across 3 offices, implementing best practices and ensuring everything is in order to maximise client service. You will act as the key point of contact between Executive teams, the PAs and Head of Secretarial Services for the UK, liaising with management to comment on continuous improvements and issue resolution to ensure administrative support and resources are aligned with delivering a high quality of services.

You will work closely with the PAs in Scotland, hosting one-to-one meetings and performance reviews, ensuring they have appropriate resources to complete their tasks effectively. You will implement their training plans and outline development opportunities, ensuring the correct support is available and training is completed on time. Recruitment and HR activities will also be a key aspect of your new role.

An additional aspect of the role is providing PA support to up to 3 partners within the business, delivering high-quality support to the fee earners, ensuring their team and daily plans are well managed to achieve optimal business outcomes. This will include diary and inbox management, travel arrangement, financial and general administration, and project support.

You will be working Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis, again, with travel required between offices as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated PA and supervisory experience.
• Experience within the Legal sector or Professional Services is beneficial.
• A focussed and organised approach to stakeholder management.
• The ability to enable effective team work.
• Time management and the ability to handily a varied, fast-paced workload.
• Communication skills; both verbal and written.

They now have a requirement for a building services manager to join their business.
Your new role
As Building Services Manager, your role will be to ensure the building services component of your project is front and centre at all stages from preconstruction through to commissioning. From working with the pre-construction and tender teams to managing and working with your team of subcontractors on-site, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex building and services packages across your projects. Typical projects range from £10million to £100million and are generally across the education, healthcare or complex commercial sectors.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be degree or trade qualified in a building services discipline, but our client is particularly interested in candidates from a mechanical background. You will be an expert communicator capable of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and have deep technical expertise in the delivery of complex mechanical packages on large building projects.
