Role Overview

• Lead Regulatory Strategy: Develop and execute the regulatory strategy for all products across key international markets.

The role

Our client Scottish Power Renewables are currently recruiting for a Cables Crossings Manager to join their team based in London or Glasgow on a contract basis initially. Ideally for this role they are looking for a manager experienced with managing engineering design and delivery within a large scale offshore wind project so has expert knowledge of offshore wind/marine sector. Main Purpose of Job

The Cables Crossings Manager is a critical role within the SPR Offshore business, focussing on the delivery of a large-scale offshore wind project in the UK, this being the East Anglia Hub project.

Belonging to the East Anglia Hub project team and reporting to the Principal Engineering Manager of the project, the Cables Crossings Manager will be responsible for implementing robust and cost effective engineering solutions and plans, and coordinating and managing the technical and commercial activities of the Crossings package of works during the pre-FID and Execution phase of the project, including close liaison and coordination with 3rd party asset owners (such as Utilities and other Statutory Undertakers), the construction, engineering and the wider project teams (consents, land, stakeholder management) to ensure timely delivery and quality of submissions according to the needs of the project.

The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas and the individual should be capable of managing teams working at different project locations.
• Accountable for overseeing, coordinating, managing and supporting all Project activities with regards to crossings and 3rd party asset owner management.
• Identification of 3rd party crossings, liaison with asset owners and coordinating and progressing crossing agreements ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Liaison with onshore and offshore Package management, Engineering, Construction, Stakeholder Management and Consents teams.
• Prepare applications and manage new utility services and service diversions.
• Organise and chair meetings with 3rd Party owners and submit necessary documentation for crossing agreements.
• Provide support for discussions with 3rd party crossings involving major construction works, e.g. directional drilling operations below rail and highway crossings.
• Track expenditure and technical issues and intervene where this does not meet requirements.
Ensure deliverables are delivered in accordance with the programme and to the required standard.
• Own and maintain the Crossings register in the Project.
• Chair regular meetings with wider team to track progress.

• Ensure that methodologies and technical solutions used by the Project comply with local and international standards and codes.

• Provide support for landowner discussions and agreements when requested.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE. JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT
As a senior role within ScottishPower Renewables, the Senior Contract Manager is responsible for developing and managing contracts within the Offshore Business. This role will involve close collaboration with teams from Construction, Operations, Legal, Insurance, Finance, and Procurement to ensure best-in-class Contract Management.

Being part of the Inter Array Cable (IAC) Package Team and reporting to the Package Manager, the Senior Contract Manager will drive contract strategies, sourcing, negotiating and managing large offshore contracts. The individual will be accountable for identifying and mitigating contractual and commercial risks while seeking to optimize and drive the performance of the Inter Array Cable supply and installation major contract.

The individual will be working as part of a business with several global activities, which may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas. The role demands coordination with multi-disciplinary teams and teams working at different project locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Tasks for this role will include:
• To develop adequately balanced risk profiles within the EA2/1N IAC package through contract strategy and ongoing contract management.
• Implement the necessary processes and procedures required to develop the EA2/1N IAC contract.
• Project business cases are to be supported with detailed contractual assessments across the offshore installation, ports and logistics among others.
• Anticipate contractual and commercial risks, opportunities and threats to the project and implement control measures or actions.
• Maintain value adding relationships with all contractor and suppliers.
• Coordinate all legal and procurement activities for the project area.
• Management of Supply Chain strategy for the specific area of the project: o Securing sufficient manufacturing capacity in accordance with programmes and budgets.
o Devising the most economically advantageous multi-contract solutions.
o Ensuring procurement best practice and sound risk allocation principles are maintained.
o Provision for management of interfaces across several concurrent supply chain contracts in a highly risky marine environment, and
o Taking account of changes in technology or industry practices (such as installation techniques)
• Collaborating closely with the Package Manager on the East Anglia 1N/2 Offshore wind project(s).
• Managing and administering, the IAC contract in place with the supplier, including but not limited to claims, variations and contract amendments.
• Monitoring and anticipating claims made by the contractor under the agreement and assisting in developing mitigation strategies in line with the terms.
• Supporting in preparing notes of advice and commercial drafting on claims and variations.
• Making commercial recommendations to the Package Manager on commercial issues and risks arising in the IAC contract.
• Undertaking detailed contract reviews, anticipating contractual and commercial risks, opportunities and threats to the project, and implementing mitigation measures.
• Scheduling and arranging internal review meetings, negotiation meetings with the supplier, taking notes, issuing internal and/or external minutes, reporting and tracking the status of contract status, and maintaining the contract management tracker and the documentation up to date.

MAIN FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES
Procurement
Support the Package Manager in the management and delivery of all procurement and market engagement works (supported by the Contracts Management and Procurement teams) relating to the IAC packages, this shall include:
• Support the definition of the scope of works.
• Lead in the definition of the contracting strategy and the conditions of contract.
• Support the engineering and package resources in completing the preparation of technical documentation that is required for inclusion within ITT and EPCI documentation package(s).
• Assessment of the commercial compliance of the received bids in order to provide the technical recommendation into the Contractor selection process
• Responsibility for the negotiation of the Employer’s Requirements schedule(s), the Site Data schedule, the Programme, Access and Time for Completion schedule and for ensuring the sufficiency of each within the final contract agreement.
• Responsibility for the negotiation of the Contractor’s Document’s schedule(s) and for ensuring its sufficiency within the final contract agreement.
• Working with the wider business (Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Legal, Procurement, Insurance etc.) to ensure business requirements are reflected in tenders and contracts.

EPCI contract management
Responsible for the management of EPCI Contractor, this shall include:
• Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management of Contractors activities.
• Management of the delivery of the Contractors works in accordance with the programme.
• Contract management duties include supporting the Pacakge Manager in Contractor communications, claims, variations, value engineering, invoice approval and claim Management.
• Working with the Contractor to take advantage of optimisation / cost reduction / safety.

EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
In this role, you will lead and coordinate internal approval processes, work closely with various departments such as legal, procurement, insurance, risk, and treasury. Effective communication and strong relationship-building skills will be essential to successfully interface with these key stakeholders.

DIMENSIONS
Reports to the Package Manager within the project organisation with a functional reporting line to the Principal Contract Manager (corporate discipline lead).

EDUCATION
Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.

EXPERIENCE
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with exceptional negotiation and communication skills, who can work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across the organization. Candidates will have offshore wind experience, familiarity with management approaches in the offshore environment, and cultural awareness.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
• A degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering disciplines or commercially orientated qualification.
• Experience as project manager, project engineer or contract manager, within renewables sector, for a minimum of 10 years.
• Experience in contract management, within offshore business preferably in the supply and installation of cables and associated offshore operations, for a minimum of 5 years.
• The ability to manage your own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, while producing highquality results in demanding timeframes.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
• A good understanding of wind farm construction activities and the contractual implications.
• IT literacy, with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other project management software. • Flexibility to travel.

LANGUAGES
The project has an international team of employees and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written (full professional proficiency).

Working knowledge and understanding of: o UK and European Health and Safety legislation relevant to marine operations. o DNV standards for offshore wind.
o Construction planning, Estimations & Risk Management.

Main Purpose of Job

The Grid Services Manager is a critical role within the Offshore Renewables Business, focussing on the delivery of large-scale offshore wind projects in the UK, Europe and overseas.

Belonging to Electrical Design Department and reporting to the UK Lead Grid and System Studies Manager, the Grid Services Engineer will be responsible for various aspects of the electrical design in offshore wind projects, including but not limited to electrical system studies, Grid Code compliance and the implementation of Grid ancillary services.

The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK and overseas and the individual should be capable of managing teams working at different project locations.

Key Tasks
? Support the Project Engineering Managers to develop the electrical system design of the project assets, ensuring that the process is recorded and justified
? Support the Lead Grid and System Studies Manager for the management of the suppliers or consultants in undertaking electrical system studies and other technical electrical assessments to the project including the provision of required inputs from the System Operator and control all electrical design information to and from all packages on the project
? Support the Lead Grid and System Studies Manager to manage the interface with the grid operator (System Operator and/or Transmission Owner)
? Develop Technical and Commercial forums with the TSO regarding Grid Compliance and ancillary services connections
? Coordinate the review, evaluation and approval of all electrical designs, inputs, studies and design changes. Ensure management of design variations to the system design basis (e.g. through design review workshops etc)
? Establish opportunities for additional revenue in the Projects through the implementation of optimisations in the electrical design and the delivery of Ancillary Services/ Grid Service Products (e.g. Reactive Power, Frequency Response, Stability, Inertia, other)
? Ensure the required number and iterations of the electrical system studies are optimised to reduce variation orders using engineering judgement, and performed to suitably validate the electrical design basis and provide relevant inputs to all Packages tendering main electrical equipment and cables
? Define the main design criteria and functional design requirements of main HVAC/HVDC and MV systems including main electrical equipment (incl. STATCOM, FACTS), inter-array and export cables, managing the work of a team of specialists in the aforementioned areas
? Review the suitability of HVAC and HVDC design and ratings proposed by suppliers of the Export Cable, offshore (Converter) substation main electrical equipment (MEQ), inter-array cables (IAC) and wind turbine generator (WTG) electrical equipment in accordance with the electrical studies
? Arrange technical meetings / workshops as required.
? Submit (modification) applications as required to align the connection agreement with project programme, capacity and connection design.
? Control submission of relevant project data to the Grid Operator as required by relevant agreements.
? Ensure Grid Code compliance of the wind farm and wider electrical system. Ensure the required electrical system studies are carried out to demonstrate compliance
? Ensure the correct implementation of standard and non-standard requirements documentation in all electrical system packages, identify risks and manage interfaces associated with the electrical design
? Ensure compliance with existing Iberdrola/Scottish Power Renewables’ standard specifications, design procedures and guidelines, document and agree variations to them and contribute to future revisions
? Ensure corporate H&SE policies are adhered to in all matters and industry best practice
? Participate in project meetings and report to the Project Services Electrical Engineering Team status, risks, and lessons learned
? Ensure the promotion of innovation in the project and share amongst Electrical Design Department and
other Iberdrola/Scottish Power Renewables’ projects.

Key Criteria

Technical Skills
? Educated to degree level or equivalent in electrical / power systems engineering with a higher-level degree (e.g. MSc, MEng, PhD) desirable
? Knowledge and experience in electrical systems related to Renewable Energy Systems (RES), Offshore Wind Farms (OWF), HVAC/HVDC grid connections, Flexible AC transmission System (FACTS)
? Experience in the area of Electrical and Grid Works related to offshore wind.
? Experience in the implementation and delivery of ancillary services/ grid products (Reactive Power, Frequency Response, Stability etc.) in offshore wind projects
? Generator and/or transmission system grid compliance process and principles.
? Proven experience in power system studies and system electrical design.
? Wind farm and grid control management systems.
? HVAC and HVDC Connections, Transformers, Power Electronic Converters, STATCOMS, Reactors, Switchgears, Harmonic Filters, On-and-Offshore HV Cable Design aspects.
? Manufacturing, construction, and installation of offshore / onshore grid works for offshore wind, large generators, or transmission works.
? Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) electrical systems/control systems and Grid Code Compliance experince.
? Grid regulation in either UK, USA (East Coast), France, Germany.
? Experience in delivery of large packages/projects, including contract management, programme management, cost and risk control.

The OFTO Transaction Information Manager is part of the Business Performance Team for the Global Offshore Business reporting to the Head of Regulated Transaction Services Offshore. The Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) Information Manager is responsible for managing all information and documentation aspects of the global offshore wind business OFTO divestment process.

The OFTO Transaction Information Manager together with the team of OFTO Transaction Managers and OFTO Transaction Cost Manager will manage the OFTO divestment process for Iberdrola and will develop and maintain relationships with both the regulator, Ofgem and the Project Teams to ensure that the maximum value is recovered through the sale process.

The OFTO Transaction Information Manager will be working as part of a global business with activities in many countries across Europe and the rest of the world. The position may require frequent travel to various locations in the UK.
