So what do we need? In order to be successful in your application, you will require an excellent understanding of double entry bookkeeping and have a strong grasp of the principles of accountancy, gained in an office workplace environment. Retail Stock Count Assistant

Salary: £12.89 per hour inclusive of holiday pay (£11.50 per hour + £1.39 holiday pay)

Location: Swansea

Retail Asset Solutions are looking to take on Retail Stock Take Assistants to join our already existing minibus teams. Typical working week will consist of 3-4 x 8-12hr shifts.

The Role

• We are looking for Retail stock counters to add to our already successful team.
• Work will be carried out on different Retail customer sites and stores and travel will vary on a shift-by-shift basis. All travel is provided on the minibus.
• You will be responsible for ensuring stock is counted quickly and accurately using a handheld scanner.
• Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time is needed for the role and access equipment may have to be used on occasion to reach high stock
• Typical working week will consist of 3-4 x 8-12hr shifts

Key Skills/ Experience Required

• Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and during the night when required. As a result, we can only accept applicants 18 years and over
• You must have a 'can do' attitude and be able to work long shifts where required on large counts.
• With our innovative business, the technology changes and therefore being a quick learner is a key skill required.
• Any experience of handling stock is an advantage but not a necessity.

Your new company is a well-established organisation based in the heart of Swansea. My client is looking for an individual who has experience within a conveyancing environment to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis.


Your new role
Your new role as a Property Assistant will require you to maintain the organisation's legal files (electronic and physical), ensuring that the working practices are in accordance with the organisation's policies and regulations. You will be responsible for document management - drafting and refining documents and information that are central to the organisation's part in the property transactions. You will be expected to use your initiative in this role and operate with extreme attention to detail. This role involves many administrative tasks, such as general filing, telephone and email correspondence, liaising with clients, solicitors and other third parties, data entry and other general administrative tasks.


What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be an individual who has strong administrative and clerical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail and accuracy, as well as outstanding organisational skills. They will also be able to work using their own initiative. The successful candidate will be an individual who is computer-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook and is experienced in a legal environment, ideally with knowledge of conveyancing transactions.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £11.50 per hour, which has the potential to be higher dependent on experience. The role will be a part-time position working 12/16 hours per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You will be working within a supportive work environment where there is access to free parking. Assistant Accountant

Permanent and Full time

£25-30,000 per annum

This is a fascinating role with a lot of scope! This organisation are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to support their Swansea finance team. On the outskirts of the city, in a new, purpose built facility..... superbly appointed with parking and lunch options on site and immediately adjacent, your role will be hybrid (once you are fully set up and induction into the team has taken place) and will allow you to work from home 1 or 2 days a week in line with the business needs. We are considering candidates from a range of backgrounds and experiences; if you are studying CIMA or ACCA, then you will come in at the top of the salary bracket......at about 28-30K. Qualifications aren't the be-all/end-all, but you must have really robust understanding of the principles of transactional finance and management accounts (with all the technical jargon that goes with it!).....so this role is not entry level.Once "up and running" your role will likely encompass the following;

• Assisting in the preparation of

-monthly management accounts pack.
-monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
-monthly journals (accruals, prepayments and depreciation)

• Supporting the year-end process.
• Processing debtors and Creditors Ledger
• Administration and management of staff expenses
• Assisting with monthly Payroll processing and journal posting
• Credit control and debt management support
• Assist in the compilation of monthly MI and KPI

As you can see, this role offers unparalleled exposure to duties and experiences that will really boost your Accounting career. You will need to have a lot of initiative and drive; the urge to drive improvements and streamline processes will be familiar to you! You must also be fairly IT savvy...... confident and capable with MS Excel (spreadsheets as a minimum, V-lookups and Pivot Tables ideally) and happy to "have a go" with other applications. You will also be responsible for providing some management support to junior members of the finance team, so you need to be confident in this area, with some experience in providing guidance for direct reports..... even if not in a finance setting!
