Hays Education are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant for a lovely Infant School in the Castleford area. This is a permanent position to start in September 2024.
The successful candidate will have the ability to relate well to children and adults and have the ability to deal with conflicting demands and be able to work flexibly.
You will be a positive influence within the school and have an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these. You will also be a talented individual who will foster a supportive learning environment for our students.
You will be working with students, colleagues, and visitors across the school, so you'll need to love working with people, have very high standards and be prepared to work hard. You will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills with the ability to problem solve.
As a Learning Support Assistant working in this role, you will provide:
- Lesson Assistance: Collaboration with lead teachers to prepare materials and support lesson delivery.
- One-on-One Tutoring: Providing tailored support to pupils who need extra help understanding subject matter.
- Behavioural Support: Assist in managing classroom behaviour to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Inclusive Education: Promote a sense of belonging for all students, especially those with special educational needs.
- Peer Interaction: Encourage positive interactions between students.
The school is situated in the former industrial heartland of Yorkshire, close to the junction of the M62 and A1 and its transport links. The Trust currently comprises four schools across the primary and secondary phases.
